Rapper and Twitch streamer DeAndre "Soulja Boy" Way was banned twice from Twitch in just 24 hours. With no explanation as to why, the 31-year-old has responded by calling the platform 'racist'.

Many will know Soulja Boy for the 2007 hit which you are still bound to be having a bop to on a night out, 'Crank That'. However, the rapper has also racked up a hefty following on his Twitch channel and showed his passion for gaming. He even 'created' his own gaming console and claimed to own Atari, but Atari themselves quickly shut-down that idea

Although, it seems that Soulja Boy's Twitch days are over for now, as he has been banned from the platform for the second time in 24 hours. The rapper has since responded by claiming that Twitch is 'racist'.

When Was Soulja Boy Banned From Twitch?

Soulja Boy hit the headlines on December 10 when he broke the record for the shortest Twitch ban in history, which only lasted for just over five minutes. However, the rapper's new-found freedom on the platform again was short-lived as in just a matter of hours, Soulja Boy was banned once again for a second time in just 24 hours.

As of writing, this makes in five days in which Soulja Boy hasn't been allowed to stream. Having stayed fairly quiet about the situation in the days immediately following the ban, Soulja Boy had obviously had enough and took to Twitter to vent his anger and frustration.

Why Was Soulja Boy Banned From Twitch?

Soulja Boy claims that Twitch is "racist" for banning him, apparently without any explanation as to why. The streamer also appealed directly to the CEO of Twitch, Emmett Shear, to take notice of his complaint and act. As of writing, there apparently has been no public response from Twitch or Shear about the dispute.

As well as this, Soulja Boy shared a number of tweets saying that he wants to sue the platform and claims that he has the cash to get "the best lawyer money can buy". With the number of streamers threatening to do the same for their 'unjustified' bans, it looks like Twitch could have a number of lawsuits on its hands. For example, DrDisrespect (A.K.A. Guy Beahm) started the procedures to sue Twitch for what he claimed was a completely unexpected and unjustified ban. Similarly, fans of Hasan "HasanAbi" Piker have rallied behind the streamer after he was 'unjustly' banned from the platform for using a 'racist anti-white term'.

With so many streamers getting swept up in Twitch's wave of bans, it's a wonder which streamer could be next on the Purple Snake's hit list. Or will they do a Ludwig "Ludwig" Ahgren and hightail it to YouTube
