We know that Ballistic is here to take over Apex Legends with his silver smart bullet that epitomises his sleek fox-like appearance, but there seems to be more than what meets the eye with this legend.

Arriving with all the swagger and hype that usually surrounds new characters in Apex Legends, Ballistic appears to be one of the most highly-anticipated Legends that we've had since Seer.

So it's no surprise that players have been flocking to use him, and with that, they've quickly found a nice passive buff that makes Ballistic the best marksman in the game.

Ballistic's Whistler tactical ability has become quite a nifty trick for players to use in Apex Legends so far, using the honing bullet to deal that last bit of damage in a gunfight, or having its overheating power shut down teams who are holding buildings.

But, it's Ballistic's Tempest and Sling abilities that are really proving to be more useful than we first thought, as players have found to combine the two to get the most of the golden weapon choices on offer.

Specifically, the Tempest and Sling ability has been found to have a huge buff on the Sentinel, as it will fully charge the sniper rifle without having to equip a shield battery. This makes it deal a tonne more damage than it normally does.

While many marksman fans might want to keep the Sentinel in Ballistic's sling, there's also another gun that can be just as brilliantly effective to hold in your back pocket: the Rampage LMG.

Akin to the supercharged Sentinel, holding the Rampage in your sling when activating the Tempest will also fully charge your gun, even if you don't have a Thermite Grenade in your backpack.

So, if you're really looking to get the best out of Ballistic, it's best to tuck away a Sentinel or Rampage in your sling, and any player getting in a long-range gunfight with you will tremble in your wake.
