The Pokémon universe is filled to the brim with adorable monsters who have proven to be consistently loyal to the players until the very end. Some fans can become so attached to the cute creatures to the point that they consider them as pets or might even get their very own beanbag of their favourite, cuddly Pokémon.

Now, The Pokémon Company is offering fans and animal-lovers the chance to win a bunch of fantastic prizes if they send in pictures of their real-life pets.

As part of the celebrations surrounding the highly-anticipated release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the game company has launched the 'Pokémon Presents Super Pet Contest', in which fans can submit the cutest pictures of their pets to win great Pokémon-themed prizes. Oh, and if you're a RuPaul's Drag Race fan, you might also want to keep reading.

What Is Pokemon's Cute Pets Competition?

The 'Pokémon Presents Super Pet Contest' involves fans taking the cutest picture of their besties, whether they be pooch, parrot, or Pikachu. Well, maybe not Pikachu. But, Pokémon is eager to see the wide variety of pets out there, and the responses on Twitter, so far, have shown just what an incredibly diverse collection of pets there are out there.

Submissions can be made to directly through the Pokémon website and participants will need to start off by selecting the category which best describes their animal friends: Clever, cool, or cute. Then, fans can upload their pictures of their cute pets before being able to vote for the best photograph from their fellow contestants. However, the final vote will come down to the judges, which includes the RuPaul legend herself, Michelle Visage.

What Are The Prizes?

The top four participants from the three categories could all have the chance to win a variety of Pokémon-themed prizes. Fans who win first prize will receive "An ultimate Pokémon gift basket, a copy of the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Pokémon Shining Pearl Dual Pack A Nintendo Switch Lite Dialga & Palkia Edition A Pokémon plush."

Contestants from the US, UK, France, and Germany could be in with the chance of winning fantastic prizes. Pokémon fans from Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland will still be able to make submissions but they, sadly, won't be eligible for prizes. However, they might get a special mention during the winners' ceremony.

Although, not everything in Pokémon is cute. If you're looking for something spooky to get in the mood for Halloween, check out the new Blair-Witch inspired video that Pokémon just released. Or, if you're looking for Halloween costume ideas, there's the bizarre new Geodude costume
