These last two months have been quite the minefield in Modern Warfare 3, as players have been grafting through the camo challenges to try and finish Orion.

Simultaneously though, players have now had ample opportunity to get to grips with each and every one of the record-breaking number of guns, and one is coming out on top.

After the first wave of Call of Duty League matches, the professional players have all agreed that one gun is the best in the game: the MCW.

As the ACR reborn, the MCW has been the outstanding weapon of choice in the assault rifle category and has soared to the top of the pile in the CDL 2024 season.

According to Atlanta FaZe superfan and keen statistician "CoDMuse", the MCW has been used for 68% of all kills in CDL so far, peaking on certain maps at a ratio of 89%.

The blessed assault rival beats out other popular weapons like the Rival 9, especially in the respawn game modes like Hardpoint and Control, given its superiority on the chosen maps like Terminal and Invasion.

The gun is so dominant on maps like Terminal, that all four players on most teams are using it, with only a handful of SMG mains pulling out the Rival 9; according to CoDMuse, the Renetti was at 3.54% while the Rival was at 4.42% of kills on that map, showing the MCW's superiority.

Which guns will be best for Modern Warfare 3 Ranked?

The Call of Duty League is a good reflection of which guns will be best used in Modern Warfare 3 Ranked, and so far the meta is rather solidified thanks to the Gentleman's Agreement in play.

The GA rules out some guns that are not competitively viable (weapons with an insane headshot multiplayer ratio, for example), ruling out the MTZ and burst Rifles in the AR category, which is why the MCW is the best choice.

As for non-AR guns, the Rival 9 SMG is by far the best alternative, as only these two primary guns have been used by pros so far.
