Warzone Season 4's weapon meta is arguably the most balanced that we've ever seen, following the nerf to the brand-new MG82 LMG.

A range of weapons can complement every playstyle, rather than having one supreme gun that ruins everyone in the lobby. Whether it's a Kar98K and MP5 Combo, or a FARA and a Streetsweeper duo, virtually all weapons are viable in one way or another.

However, controversially, Call of Duty mogul and FaZe Clan colossal Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff has claimed that OP Weapons are actually good for Warzone.

Nickmercs Claims OP Warzone Weapons Are Good

Prior to the nerf of the MG82 LMG, Nick was using the gun to break his Warzone solo kill record, albeit the streamer rarely plays solos, so his benchmark wasn't as high as you'd expect.

The MG82 was causing havoc on the map, and amid calls for it to be fixed, Nick claimed that he's like it to stay, just for a while longer.

During his gameplay, Nick said: "Well, I think it's actually good and healthy for them to add OP guns. I'm not upset with that at all.

"I just think that after a week of this s**t, a week and a half... That's when they need to make an adjustment. Not like after a month."

Was The MG82 Nerfed?

Yes, and heavily. Shortly after NICKMERCS' rampant display, Raven Software rolled out a Warzone patch, which included a heavy nerf.

Admitting that it "had been through the pack-a-punch machine one too many times", the Warzone developers vastly wiped away its Maximum Damage Range, added more recoil, and reduced its damage multiplier.

The LMG still remains as a solid option, with the right balance of attachments, although it isn't as OP as Nick may have liked.
