Having birthed a love for Apex Legends esports since switching to the Respawn Entertainment title from Warzone in mid-2021, Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff has been on the hunt for a dedicated trio to continue his grind through the ALGS. Now, as the 2022 calendar year approaches for the Apex Legends season, Nick has now revealed that he will be pairing with one of the most decorated FPS esports players ever, and current ALGS bronze medalist, Eric "Snipe3down" Wrona.

Nickmercs To Team With Snip3down For Upcoming ALGS Season

Snip3down, who has over $120,000 in earnings from competitive Apex Legends, recently 'retired' from Apex Legends and left his long-time team at TSM to return to Halo - the title where he is considered one of the greatest players of all time. However, after signing with FaZe Clan's Halo roster, he is now coming out of retirement to juggle both games and team with FaZe Co-Owner, NICKMERCS.

Nick took to social media to announce the new squad, who will also consist of "Deeds", who is mostly known through his connections to NICKMERCS and the MFAM community.

According to NICKMERCS, who spoke on-stream, the two esports calendars don't clash - barring any changes - which means Snip3down will be able to compete in both games and build a schedule that allows him to get enough practice on both rosters.

Snip3down and FaZe Clan most recently finished third in the Halo Championships Series Kickoff Major in Raleigh, the first live event of the Halo Infinite era. The decorated star also has a 2017 World Championship silver medal in his cabinet, alongside multiple Major Championships titles, dating back to 2008.

The trio will now look to qualify for the first split of the ALGS year through online regional qualifiers starting on February 8.
