After years of being divided by Shipment and its repetitive (but necessary) layout being remastered year after year, Sledgehammer Games has decided to lean into this style of map by continuing to produce small and chaotic battlegrounds.

Season 1 saw Meat arrive into the pool as an original design to join Shipment and Rust in the playlists featuring small maps, and now, Season 2 is adding yet another like-minded place of anarchy.

Stash House will be one of three original maps added to Modern Warfare 3 in Season 2, and it's already being hyped up as one of the most tumultuous maps of all time.

The original Modern Warfare 3 map pool is expanding two-fold in Season 2, with Vista, Departures, and Stash House all coming in to complement those that arrived in Season 1. Better yet, the latter is right up the street for small map lovers.

Tipped to be half the size of Nuketown, this single-building design is literally all guns blazing, with just three rooms inside to hide in, a driveway, and a small garden area.

From its tac-map layout, Stash House appears to be roughly the same size as Shipment, smaller than the likes of Meat, Rust, and the rumoured-to-arrive Das Haus. This will likely be a haven for those players who marvel at destruction.

With Stash House's reveal coming in the Season 2 trailer, Modern Warfare 3 fans have applauded the devs for leaning into this type of gameplay with back-to-back additions of small maps.

"They should stick to only making small maps. Everyone loved it when they added Meat and we’ll all be playing Stash House too," said one fan on Twitter. "Can you imagine 12 players stacked in this box? S-U-R-R-E-A-L," added a second.

Others have already started fantasising about the cheese which will be used on this map, knowing full well that deployable covers, killstreaks, and explosives will be a necessity. "I can already see this map being full of riot shields and shotguns, but I'm all for it," said another fan.

Stash House will have its doors blown open on February 7 when it arrives in Modern Warfare, and having already been branded as a "W", the bedroom bedlam will need little introduction.
