Nothing feels better than securing enough kills to earn a Killstreak in a Modern Warfare 3 match, especially if it's one that's going to terrorise your opponents like the Chopper Gunner.

It doesn't take long for these options to get boring though, so Sledgehammer has to keep it fresh for players by adding new Killstreaks to the arsenal.

Well, it's done exactly that in Season 1, introducing the iconic EMP that scrambles equipment and takes down enemy Killstreaks and, of course, the Swarm.

While players have celebrated both, the "Nightmare-inducing" Swarm is getting the most praise as it's a sight to behold in multiplayer.

"Nightmare-inducing" Swarm Killstreak praised by MW3 fans

Taking to the ModernWarfareIII subreddit, user BrosClanYt decided to showcase the power and spectacle of the "menacing" Swarm in multiplayer.

For those that don't know, the Killstreak effectively fills the air with deadly bomb drones that dive down onto any opponents they spot, killing them instantly.

Seeing the hundreds of Swarm bots in the air is "nightmare-inducing," and the sound they make when they rush towards an enemy is incredible. There's no denying the devs have knocked it out of the park with this one.

"That sound is nightmare-inducing, I love it," said one user, with another claiming, "This is the coolest kill streak in the history of CoD IMO."

So, what does it take to earn a Swarm in Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer? Well, it's not an easy task, so grab your favourite loadout and prepare for a challenge.

The Swarm requires 15 kills or 1875 points, with the likes of Domination and TDM probably being the best modes to get one. While it may take some players a while to grind for a Swarm, once you finally call it in, it'll have been well worth the wait.
