Season 18 of Apex Legends is expected to arrive in early August, and with its arrival just over the horizon, players are starting to speculate about what the devs have planned.

While leaks have pointed toward the Revenant Reborn rework, so far, there's been no official announcements or hints from Respawn. Thanks to a new leak, it appears that Storm Point will be receiving changes in Season 18, while a set of teasers could be added to the game throughout July.

By the looks of it, extreme weather is about to hit Storm Point, and to set up its arrival, a series of warnings will be issued to players ahead of its arrival.

Apex Legends leak hints extreme weather will hit Storm Point

Reliable Apex Legends leaker HYPERMYST has uncovered a number of teasers in the game files, with them expected to arrive throughout July.

The first teaser is a set of weather alert screens that slowly become more and more severe, ending with an "extreme weather alert." It warns everyone on the map that there's a huge "storm inbound" and how everyone should "seek immediate shelter."

Following this, the next teaser showcases the storm's windspeed, increasing until a system error occurs to demonstrate once again how powerful the weather will be. Finally, the last teaser shows the storm will hit the southeast side of the map, covering POIs like Fish Farm, Antenna, Gale Station and Launch Pad.

At this point in time, we don't know whether there will be POI changes or a brand-new location on Storm Point. However, HYPERMYST did confirm that we can expect skybox changes, which is something that always gets the community excited.

When do the Season 18 teasers arrive in-game?

We hope you've packed an umbrella for Season 18 of Apex Legends. With it being a favourite of Philip "ImperialHal" Dosen, he's sure to be invested in these Storm Point changes. In terms of when you can expect the official teasers to arrive in-game, HYPERMYST has outlined the specific dates below:

  • Phase 1: July 14
  • Phase 2: July 21
  • Phase 3: July 28

Of course, all of these leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt, as Respawn hasn't revealed any information about Season 18 just yet. Despite this, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for any teasers throughout July and make sure you're prepared for Storm Point to look very different after the next major update.
