There's a lot for fans to look forward to in Hogwarts Legacy - that much is clear. Though it isn't exactly a Harry Potter game, fans have been waiting for their opportunity to explore Hogwarts as a student for a lifetime.

As we saw in our gameplay preview, Avalanche Software's new adventure offers that and more. There's plenty to see across the grounds, but it looks like there could be more than meets the eye behind closed doors.

Apprently, deviating from the chosen path in Hogwarts Legacy could impact the way your adventure around the famed school of Witchcraft and Wizardy acts far into the future.

How Many Hogwarts Legacy Side Quests Are There?

It's been officially confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy is hiding over 100 side quests that can be accomplished in any order. Apparently, the order in which players engage with these side quests will determine how the game's main story plays out.

Speaking to GamesRadar, Narrative Director and Advanced Game Writer Moira Squier explained the massive amounts of Hogwarts Legacy sique quests and how the game's expansiveness will impact the story in fascinating ways.

"The main storyline is complicated and engaging and involves a variety of different characters and viewpoints," she says.

"But by giving the player choice moments throughout the game, we allow them to tell their own version of that epic story. [...] Interacting with someone in a side quest will impact how you interact with them in the main storyline - and vice versa."

What Else Lies In Store In Hogwarts Legacy?

As 2022's God of War Ragnarok pulled us aways from Kratos' main quest, we know how easy it is to get caught up in side quests. Still, the fact the order your undertake them in affects your endgame is an interesting one.

Our recent Hogwarts Legacy trip added a tonne more details about the game, including looks at the broomstick travel, shuffleboard minigames, the use of dark magic, and the wider adventure that lies in wait in the new Wizarding World game.

Hogwarts Legacy already looks like a great time for fans of the Boy Who Lived, and with so much to do, it sounds like we'll all be needing the Marauder's Map so we don't get lost in the halls of Hogwarts.
