Fortnite has given the gaming world hell this past week. The launch of Fortnite's OG season last weekend came with a height that the game has never seen before, and though many expected that a lot of players would be ready to flood back to the game, few expected that it'd reach the tallest heights that it has ever received on record. Fortnite has never been more popular, and the claims of it being a "dead game" have never been more, well, dead.

And now, as more crossovers and exciting details are expected to come, it looks like Fortnite isn't messing about - and it's coming back with a crossover that many have expected for some time.

Fortnite x Fall Guys could finally be coming

It looks as though the Fortnite collab we've all been expecting since the launch of its little Mediatonic-developed brother, Fall Guys, is finally in the works.

Fortnite leaker Shiina has indicated that the crossover is finally being developed, as a new character type has been added to Fortnite's files called "BeanCharacter," which is entirely separate from "FortniteCharacter", implying that the two will be coexisting in some kind of minigame.

The collab itself is also claimed to feature its own playlist, which indicates further that the Fall Guys crossover could have some distance from the battle royale mode of the game.

It'd be yet another example of Epic Games making the most of the properties under its wing, as claims continue to indicate that Fortnite could soon be getting its own Rocket League-inspired mode.

Will there be Fall Guys skins in Fortnite?

These leaks indicate that Fall Guys will be, in some capacity at least, appearing in Fortnite - but it looks as though they could avoid an appearance in Fortnite's iconic battle royale mode, meaning that skins could be off the table.

After all, we imagine that clipping and hitboxes on these skins would be a total nightmare given just how round and smooth the Fall Guys beans are - but who knows, maybe Fortnite could prove us wrong and make it work. Hell, if they'll allow Unicorn characters that insert the entire glass canister of Slurp Juice into their head when they consume it, then maybe the sky's the limit.
