When Alan Wake 2 released at the end of October, it came with the promise of more content coming in the future, namely a New Game Plus mode and two DLCs.

Recently, dataminers have seemingly uncovered footage which shows the alternate ending that comes alongside New Game+, as well as video from the DLC.

Remedy confirmed more content would be on its way to Alan Wake 2

Last week, Remedy confirmed that more content would be coming to Alan Wake 2 after its official launch, including two DLCs and a New Game Plus mode.

New Game Plus will be added as part of a post-launch update, although the release date is yet to be announced, and will include a “new alternative narrative, including new Manuscript pages and new video content.”

This will also include a new Nightmare difficulty level, and will allow players to retain all of the weapons and upgrades they have unlocked while playing the base game.

As well as this, 2 DLCs, Night Springs and The Lake House, have also been teased by the developer.

Dataminers have leaked video footage of unseen Alan Wake 2 scenes

A Reddit post shared on the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit suggests New Game Plus’s alternative story will come alongside a different final cutscene.

The leak also suggests that, Control side-character, Dr Darling will be making an appearance in the form of instructional videos not unlike what he has done in previous games.

Reportedly he will also be appearing in the ‘The Lake House’ DLC, though it is not clear in what capacity this will be.

Whether or not the leaks turn out to be accurate is yet to be seen, however it will be interesting to see what direction the game decides to go down in the DLC and New Game Plus mode.
