Reliable Call of Duty leakers have revealed a timetable for the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered. Two leakers, TheGamingRevolution and Okami, have publicly announced information related to the highly anticipated game.

TheGamingRevolution has a history of correctly predicting CoD features before they go live. He became aware of Modern Warfare's Gunfight mode long before it was made official. Okami was one of the first leakers to discover that an MW2 remastered was in the works.

While neither of these individuals is an official Call of Duty source, their statements are about as reliable as it comes in terms of leaks.

Update: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered launched on March 31, 2020 with 30 days access for PS4 only. This was followed by an April 30 release for Xbox One and Microsoft Windows

On March 12, TheGamingRevolution provided a list of titles currently under development by Activision. Featured in the list, is Modern Warfare 2 Remastered.

This is not the only CoD game under development. Sledgehammer Games is working on a free-to-play CoD game, and Treyarch will be responsible for the yearly CoD release to come in late 2020.

Okami added to the leaks, stating that he expects an announcement/teaser for MW2 Remastered in 2-3 months. The official release would likely fall in November, around the time Activision traditionally releases their CoD games.

This news has resulted in predictions that MW2 Remastered may release in a bundle with the standard 2020 CoD release. In 2016, Call of Duty 4 Remastered was packaged with Infinite Warfare. Remember, however, this is purely based on speculation.

Both of the 2016 releases came from the Infinity Ward developers. With MW2 being an Infinity Ward game and this year’s standard CoD being Treyarch’s responsibility, this idea may be too far fetched.

Okami has had success with his recent leaks/predictions. He correctly predicted the March 10 release of Warzone along with many of its features. If anyone can make an educated guess on all of this, it's him.

Rumors of Modern Warfare 2 Remastered have flooded the CoD community dating back to early 2018. With it being perhaps the most popular CoD game of all time, the hype is warranted.

With these leaks, it looks like we may finally have a timetable on when to expect a remaster of this legendary game.
