MW3's Beta is well underway with fans diving into the OG MW2 (2009) maps, experimenting with meta loadouts, and testing all of the new killstreaks.

Despite this, there's already been a division in the community when it comes to Modern Warfare 3's TTK and whether it's too slow.

MW3's multiplayer has a noticeably longer time-to-kill when compared to MW2, similar to that of Black Ops Cold War.

For some, having to "mag dump" into an opponent to get a kill is "unsatisfying," but for others, the slower TTK has increased the skill gap and made the gameplay significantly better.

CoD fans slam MW3's slow TTK as "unsatisfying"

Taking to Twitter on October 7, popular Call of Duty account TheGhostOfHope sparked a debate when they celebrated MW3's longer TTK.

In response, some fans heavily disagreed, arguing they don't want to have to spend "years mag dumping people." For them, a slower time-to-kill means a more "unsatisfying" gameplay experience and more scenarios where enemies get away, leading to frustration.

It's clear that there are some CoD players who want to be able to delete a foe in milliseconds, similar to the TTK in MW2019.

Others CoD argue a "slower TTK is better" for MW3

Of course, not everyone is angry at Sledgehammer for slowing down the TTK, with a lot of CoD fans arguing it's a "skill issue" for those complaining.

"Slower TTK is better in 2023... nowadays, slower TTK like this is always gonna make for faster gameplay and higher skill gap," said one user, with another arguing "If you hit your shots you're not actually dumping your mag, I've had triples so far with just one mag it's a skill issue if you cant."

As it's just the Beta right now, it'll be interesting to see if Sledgehammer makes any adjustments ahead of MW3's launch. However, it's clear a lot of players appreciate the fact the devs have increased the skill gap in Modern Warfare 3 with movement and the TTK.
