Cloud9 is one of the most well-known esports organisations with a storied history in League of Legends, CSGO, and countless other titles.

So, its decision to depart Apex Legends in 2022 due to financial issues was a major blow to the community and its fans.

It was assumed that C9 wouldn't return to the Outlands, and instead, strictly shift focus to games like Valorant, LoL, and Counter-Strike.

Well, a surprise announcement has revealed that Cloud9 is making a return to the ALGS, and it's picked up a brand-new roster.

Cloud9 is back in Apex Legends after leaving back in 2022

Taking to Twitter on March 14, Cloud9 announced that the org would be making a comeback in Apex Legends with some new faces. The roster includes Paris "StayNaughty" Gouzoulis, Nathan "ChaoticMuch" Gajkiewicz, and Jason "Sauceror" Li.

Those who followed C9 before their departure will know StayNaughty was part of the original team, so it'll be interesting to see how this group of players perform together.

With ChaoticMuch's experience on G2 Esports and Sauceror's time on Renegades, there's certainly a lot of potential and room to grow. The question is, can they make it to LAN?

As expected, ALGS fans are over the moon that Cloud9 are back and can't wait to see what this group of players can do in the scene.

"Holy s**tā€¦ Apex really is back, HUGE W," said Nokokopuffs, with pro sweetdreams posting, "Welcome Back! Great team of players and coaches and even naughty too, W's all around."

Even the CEO himself took the time to comment, congratulating the players and saying it's "now time to make LAN" so they can compete against TSM at the highest level.

Where this C9 roster will go in the ALGS is a mystery for now, but whatever they do, it's great to have them back competing.
