As with any multiplayer title, Apex Legends suffers from glitches that can affect the gameplay experience for players.

However, these become a lot more serious when they can be abused by competitors to gain an unfair advantage, especially in Ranked.

Well, that's exactly what's happening with an exploit that uses Fuse's Ultimate ability to make Tridents completely invulnerable.

This is ruining the endgame of matches, with players unable to kill teams inside the vehicles. Fortunately, one talented player has found a temporary hard counter in the form of Caustic, the Toxic Trapper.

Caustic hard counters invulnerable Trident bug abusers

Taking to the Apex Legends subreddit, user Competitive-Way-5970 posted a clip of an endgame circle where four squads inside Tridents were abusing the invulnerable exploit.

The glitch means you can only deal damage to the driver with throwables or Legend abilities. So, Competitive-Way-5970 realised that playing Caustic put them in the perfect position to take out the cheaters.

Waiting for the ring to get incredibly small, they deployed their ultimate and multiple barrels next to the stacked-up Tridents. As expected, they then started taking nonstop tick damage from the gas.

Disorientated, the bug abusers stood no chance after taking so much damage from the Toxic Trapper, giving Competitive-Way-5970 and their squad the well-deserved win.

When will invulnerable Trident bug get fixed in Apex Legends?

The invulnerable Trident bug isn't a minor issue - it's completely taken over Ranked and is ruining the competitive integrity of Apex Legends at the moment.

Every endgame circle is flooded with unkillable vehicles and while Competitive-Way-5970 has found a temporary counter, Respawn needs to fix this as soon as possible.

Fingers crossed the devs find a solution and roll out a hotfix in the next few days, or the community will continue to grow more and more frustrated.
