Call of Duty Map Shows Every Country We Haven’t Visited Yet
Call of Duty is quite the globetrotter. The series, over its many years of dominion over the FPS genre, has taken us to eras and locales galore. With World At War dragging us across Europe in the Second World War, Modern Warfare made it all the way to the desolate Chernobyl, and even Warzone headed to Verdansk - the fictional city based in Ukraine.
It’s clear that Activision's record-breaking franchise has deployments all across the world, but one fan has made a map that shows exactly where the series has (and hasn't) been.
Where has the Call of Duty series taken us?
The CoD fan has shared a map that they've made, showing off every location that has been explored by the Call of Duty series. The most interesting part is seeing every location that’s yet to be battled in, with it being a potential for future entries.
The map sees the battles waged in the shooter series stretched across Russia, Australia and China - but there are a few disappointing omissions.
There’s a huge portion of Africa that’s gone untouched so far, and the likes of Iran and Malaysia are still without their own maps.
A lot of Northern American states have gone without appearance, Greenland has stayed particularly grey, and sadly, Wales has gone without its own Call of Duty map. Maybe Vanguard can turn the tides and take the battle to Barry Island.
Where Will The Maps Of Vanguard Be Set?
Click to enlargeThere’s every chance that 2021's Vanguard could fill in some of the gaps that are missing on this map as it works through the battlefields of World War II. Chances are, it’ll stick to Europe - so Portugal, Belarus and Ukraine could finally have their time to shine in the FPS series.
We already know the iconic London Docklands map is due for a refresh, while we've also heard the modern Terminal map could be going back in time. There’s no telling what Vanguard could bring, but hopefully, it’ll be able to cross a few more countries off the map to cement the game series as the next-best globetrotter after Flight Simulator.
