The Fortnite leaks are coming thick and fast as the mercenary-packed Chapter 2 Season 5 hits its stride. Although many of us are still reeling from the cataclysmic events of the Marvel-themed Chapter 2 Season 4, it sounds like there's another comic book caper coming this time around.

We've already blasted off The Mandalorian's Din Djarin and his jetpack, met the might of Kratos' Leviathan Axe, and "mastered" how to dress as Halo's Master Chief, but now, it looks like a Black Panther skin is finally coming to Epic Games' battle royale brawler.

Even though Season 4 brought the great and the good of Marvel Comics, many were disappointed all those rumours of a Black Panther skin never came to fruition. Unfortunately, it looks like the untimely death of Chadwick Boseman in August led to developers changing their plans out of respect. T'Challa might've not appeared during the Nexus War arc, but there was still the Panther's Prowl statue that became an unofficial monument to Boseman's portrayal of Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Fortnite Black Panther skin: What's the leak?

Epic Games Worldwide Creative Director Donald Mustard has already promised Season 4 was just the start of "many years" of Marvel content. We just didn't expect to see more Marvel magic so soon after we banished Galactus from the map. Posting on YouTube, notable Fortnite leaker HYPEX showed off footage of Black Panther in-game. Added to this, it looks like he'll be joined by Captain Marvel and the villainous Taskmaster. These three will be part of "Marvel: Royalty & Warriors Pack" that was uncovered as part of the v15.10 update.

Elsewhere, there are a series of new "Wakanda Forever" challenges. According to sources, players will get 10,000 XP for each challenge completed. They are as follows:

  • Visit different snowmando outposts
  • Deal damage with Lever Action Rifle
  • Play matches
  • Complete all Black Panther Quests
  • Outlast Opponents
  • Play Duo of Squad matches

Completing the "Wakanda Forever" challenges will reportedly unlock a new emote that will be based on the iconic move from Ryan Coogler's Black Panther. The emote is undoubtedly a tribute to Boseman with its name being "Amazing Forever". At first, HYPEX questioned whether Black Panther would be arriving as an actual skin or just pop by as an NPC. That being said, all NPCs have been added as skins so far.

Fortnite Black Panther skin: What else has been leaked?

Marvel rival DC could also be getting a nod. Alongside the introduction of "The Last Laugh Bundle" that has brought Joker and Poison Ivy to Fortnite, the next hunter on the cards might be Green Arrow. Batman would've probably have been a more popular choice, but still, there are sure to be plenty of players who can't wait to suit up as Oliver Queen. It's interesting to note this version of the character is a dead ringer for the Stephen Amell version from CW's Arrow

As Season 5 continues to win over critics, there are guaranteed to be more skins on the horizon. We've already mused how Predator could be lurking out in Stealthy Stronghold, while the Master Chief leak also confirmed The Walking Dead's Daryl and Michonne are joining the party. There are still plenty of questions about what will happen with the Black Panther skin. Will he be given away as part of a reward system or will he arrive in the shop to buy? If this is the case, let's hope proceeds will go to charity in the name of Boseman.
