It's certainly getting a little busy out there on the Fortnite map. If you thought the Marvel-themed Chapter 2 Season 4 was packed with pop culture favourites, you ain't seen nothing yet. With the Zero Point blasted open and Agent Jonesy trying to wrangle escaping characters back into the Loop, Season 5 sees the fan-favourite recruiting his own Suicide Squad of mercenaries to track down the escapees.

We've already seen the Mandalorian land on the map in his signature ship, the Razor Crest. Epic Games has also confirmed God of War's Kratos is joining the fight, while it looks like Halo's Master Chief will be landing in the near future. This season's Battle Pass promises to be filled with just as many hard-earned rewards and exclusive skins, meaning players are demanding to know who else will be popping by for a fight. Now, the next potential recruit has been revealed as we could be heading toward a Fortnite Predator crossover.

Fortnite Predator crossover: what is it?

Posting on Twitter, @Top5Gaming pointed to the Stealthy Stronghold POI as a Predator breeding ground. As well as the name Stealthy Stronghold being a possible nod to the camouflaged alien assassin, there are three Easter eggs lurking in the shadows. Alongside a crashed truck and helicopter from the long-running sci-fi franchise, there's a mysterious symbol that looks like the Predator's signature mark when it locks onto a target.

While it might be a wild tinfoil hat theory, we've got to admit, this one really stacks up. Interestingly, T5G also guessed there will be a Terminator skin on the way - something we also mused only last week. In a follow-up Tweet, they wrote, "Also call me crazy but Terminator will also be a skin this season. No evidence, but gut feeling". Let's remember Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in both the OG Predator and has been a staple of the Terminator movies.

Fortnite Predator crossover: Do we know anything else?

If you needed more convincing that Predator is growling into action, T5G noted an interesting point in the Season 5 trailer where Agent Jonesy refers to "Predators". That's a tenuous link at best, however, they explained how the moment Jonesy says "Predators" is accompanied by a sound particularly similar to the Predator's roar. Check it out in the tweet above.

Finally, Fortnite leaker FortTory delved deep into the files and uncovered a potential boss coming to Stealthy Strongholds. Obviously, there's no release date for a Fortnite Predator crossover (if it's legitimate). We'll have to wait for Epic Games to give us the official nod. Still, with the average season lasting around three months, we're expecting there will be plenty more murderous mercs coming to the battle royale bloodbath.
