FromSoftware is back, and in typical FromSoftware fashion, its next project is a pretty far step from the expected.

Though Elden Ring only came out last year and practically revolutionised how the world views the Soulsborne game, the team is trying to carve a new name for the almost-forgotten Armored Core series, bringing the chaos of Nier into the boots of mech pilots.

And it's clearly about to be a big deal - as FromSoftware is charging an insane amount for an Armored Core VI Premium Edition that charges you hundreds of dollars for a dollhouse.

Though the price of entry for the new FromSoftware game is fairly standard, the die-hards are likely to be shelling out their life savings for the game, as the Premium Collector's Edition has been revealed to cost a fortune. The good news is that the base version is just $60 instead of the new $70 norm.

There's a standard Collector's Edition of the game that contains a steelbook case for the title's disc, four pin badges, an artbook, 45 stickers, and a digital soundtrack - but the reason you're likely to want to pick it up is the 19cm figurine of one of the game's mechs.

Although it's pretty sick, the model is just of the mech itself. However, the Bandai Namco store exclusive Premium Edition also comes with a 32cm model of one of the game's garages that houses the mech. It's incredibly cool, but it adds $230 to the cost of the package...bringing it to $450. Phew.

When is Armored Core coming out?

If you were looking to splurge $450 on a model, then good news, you won't have to wait that long. It has been officially revealed that Armored Core VI is set to launch on August 25, 2023, and with a brand-new gameplay trailer to go with it, fans are more excited than ever to take the new title for a spin.

We've seen some pretty beefy Collector's Editions - like shelling out for a replica of Thor's hammer with God of War - but an extra $220 for a dollhouse is a new one for us. Armored Core VI might not be Elden Ring, but there's no doubt that FromSoftware has it in them to turn this game into an absolute banger.
