FromSoftware's Elden Ring and Armored Core couldn't be more different from each other thematically, but that hasn't stopped modders from combining the two.

It was only a matter of time before giant mechs started descending onto the Lands Between, and it's certainly a sight to behold.

While the functionality of the Armored Cores is limited in Elden Ring for now, it's still surreal to see them standing next to Radahn and the Fire Giant.

Modders have put Armored Cores in Elden Ring

Thanks to popular Elden Ring YouTuber and dataminer Zullie the Witch, Armored Cores have arrived in the world of Elden Ring.

According to the modder, this is possible because both games have the same development engine, so it's relatively simple to port a lot of the assets directly.

After doing so, Zullie was able to demonstrate the scale of the Armored Cores, placing one next to a Tarnished to show just how huge the mechs are.

At 10m tall, they are slightly bigger than Radahn but are still dwarfed by the imposing Fire Giant from the mountains of the Lands Between. Despite this, it's hard to believe anything from Elden Ring could take on the mobility and firepower of a fully equipped AC.

Can you move around as an Armored Core in Elden Ring?

At the moment, it's not possible to pilot an Armored Core in Elden Ring. In fact, the mech cannot even move in its current state as it's just a stationary model, but this will undoubtedly change in time as mods become more advanced.

As Zullie notes, it's a "promising start" and at least gives us a reference of what an AC would look like in the Lands Between.

This is truly only the beginning of the mech invasion of Elden Ring, and eventually, it's almost guaranteed that we'll see an AC fully equipped with rockets taking on Melania. Let's hope modders can make that a reality sooner rather than later.
