Naraka: Bladepoint is long overdue for a resurgence in the West, and we might finally be getting it. Though it might not be getting its due attention on our shores, the melee-focused battle royale has been performing in its own right and its own region, gripping Asia with its fast-paced action that finally unleashes the potential of the battle royale genre.

Nothing exemplifies this quite like the Naraka: Bladepoint Championship Finals set to take place this weekend. But it's not just slithers of professional combat that we're set to see this week - as the event has plenty to reveal to players. Including a pretty massive reveal.

Naraka: Bladepoint Announces NieR Collab

As part of what seems to be an endless stream of crossovers for the NieR series (we're looking at you, 2B Fall Guys skin), it has been revealed that the worlds of NieR: Automata and Nier: Replicant will be colliding with that of Naraka: Bladepoint.

The news has been revealed in a gorgeously rendered trailer, which sees 2B stand graciously before a shimmering lake, poised for action as ever. We don't have any news regarding what this crossover could mean, or what it will bring to the game, but fans are already theorising about potential new heroes and new weapons galore.

"Everything that lives is designed to end, by the hands of a silent blade," reads the description of the reveal. How ominous.

This is a first for the battle royale title, and could stand to be absolutely massive - especially with NieR's popularity here in the west.

Players Think 2B Will Be A Variant Of Viper Ning In Naraka: Bladepoint

Judging by the trailer itself, fans are curious as to how the crossover will manifest - and some reckon that 2B will become either a skin for, or variant of, Viper Ning.

Viper Ning has become something of a mascot for the game, and to inject NieR directly into her is a big move - but if the trailer is anything to go by, that sees 2B's reflection in the lake taking the form of Viper Ning, it could become a reality very soon.

We'll have to wait until 2023 to learn more, but one thing's for sure - it's a great time to be a Naraka: Bladepoint fan.
