While Apex Legends' excellent gunplay and movement means taking down foes in matches is extremely fun, a lot of players prefer to do it in style.
This means purchasing cosmetics from the store that arrive with featured events, often with a variety of different themes.
Respawn also likes to release recoloured skins instead of creating fresh designs from scratch. This often doesn't go down well with the community, who dislike how much the devs charge for recoloured skins that they've seen before.
The recent Fallen Angel store event has done exactly that, meaning Apex players have slammed it for being a 'cash grab.'
Apex Legends' recolour skin store frustrates the community
Ho ! The new "25 Bucks recolor event just drop" ! The last one was so long time ago and everyone were asking for a new one !

Taking to the Apex Legends subreddit, user MisterMatt13 decided to voice their frustration about Respawn's decision to host another recolour event in the store.
In their opinion, the devs add too many recoloured skins into the game, which means these cosmetic events are continuously disappointing.
This post sparked a response from the community, with one user agreeing and saying, "ngl these bundles are pissing me off,' and another claiming that 'Apex events fell off HARD after season 8."
Some Apex players are even convinced that "they are squeezing extra money out of people too because most of the time they force you to buy a bundle instead of just the skin by itself." This makes it especially frustrating for players as they cannot purchase the specific skin they want, and in turn, label it a 'cash grab.'
Why do Apex Legends release recolours?

While recolours cause a lot of frustration for certain members of the community, Respawn uses them to keep cosmetics fresh between big seasonal updates. It also allows them to put a spin on iconic skins from the past and keep them interesting for players.
However, fans clearly believe the devs utilise recolours too often and charge far too much in the store for them. Despite this being a long-standing complaint, Respawn is yet to change, and it seems unlikely it will given how well a lot of the recolours sell.
