Though there aren't many of them, fans adore the maps of Apex Legends. Perhaps it's the limited number of them that makes them so special, but as far as battle royale maps go, the ones that Apex Legends has to offer are great.

But, even though the newest update has brought the exciting Storm Point map, fans fancy even more - and with the game's growing connections to the Titanfall series, they've got an idea of what could come next.

Fans Want A Sci-Fi Map In Apex Legends

Fans have been taking to Reddit to discuss what could be next for Apex Legends' maps. Many are hoping that Respawn will lean into the capabilities that the game's story has to steer into sci-fi.

"I appreciate the work put into Stormpoint", says one user in the apexlegends subreddit, "But it would be great if maybe in the future seasons of Apex we get a map that really compliments the sci-fi elements of Apex away from nature and animals and more into futuristic and sci-fi looking urban cities / full metropolis map."

It's a good point, and it'd be a new aesthetic for a battle royale to tackle - which would work especially well with the wider mythos of Apex Legends. But, some think they could take this one step further.

Fans Want A Titanfall Crossover Map In Apex Legends

Some gamers have taken this idea and ran with it, suggesting that this new sci-fi map should be a direct crossover with Titanfall. The game is already established to be a part of the Apex Legends universe, so it makes a lot of sense.

"If you look at Angel City from Titanfall that could be a possibility", says one commenter - "Especially when lore-wise it's abandoned".

This direct tie to Titanfall could actually be a good idea, as translating a futuristic city into a map that focuses on verticality could work very well for the game, and introduce some great new playstyles.

Others seem to agree with the sentiment, and reckon the crossover would be a good idea. Plus, given the game's many nods to Titanfall already, it'd be a comfortable and exciting change to the game that also offers long-time fans all the fan service they could want.

A sci-fi map could well introduce some great new additions to Apex Legends, and though the new map means that a fresh new locale could be some time away, we can always dream of the hyper-sci-fi possibilities.
