Apex Legends' Newcastle Leaked Through In-Game Billboards
Wey-aye man! Hopefully being paired with a full-on Geordie accent, it appears that the next character to land in Apex Legends will be the forgotten-about Newcastle after the developers teased the hunk's arrival through an in-game billboard.
Having been heavily rumoured to be coming to the games following the addition of Fuse, Newcastle has since been put on the backburner. However, eagle-eyed fans have spotted the character in a teaser, all but confirming Newcastle's arrival in Apex Legends Season 13.
Newcastle Leaked For Apex Legends Season 13
Ahead of Apex Legends Season 13, the developers have begun their typical teaser trickle by adding new billboards to various spawn locations within the Control game mode.
As of April 7, a range of new advertisements can be found within the game, including one that pretty much confirms Newcastle. With a silhouette of his character's previously leaked appearance, the strapline of "The wait is over. He's finally here" can be seen.
With a castle-like figure in the backdrop of his silhouette, combined with the strapline, it seems pretty much nailed on that he will be arriving. However, fans have also found that the image resembles one of Respawn Entertainment's greatest trolls, Forge.
Previous leaks back in Season 4 saw Forge boast a wrap on his right forearm and a mechanical armour strapped across his right, although the character was intended to be a topless white male, somewhat like Fuse.
Forge was scrapped though and was allegedly replaced by Newcastle for a later date, as Revenant took the place of both characters. Now, with Newcastle seemingly ready, Forge's death may finally be nailed on, and Respawn opted to make a quick joke of this with the arm padding in Newcastle's reveal. The shoulder pads specifically resemble the kit already leaked for Newcastle.
Who Is Newcastle In Apex Legends?
A more recent leak means that we now know that Newcastle is a black male, which is leading fans to believe that his actual name is Jackson, as in Jackson the brother of Bangalore. Other theorists believe it could be Maldera from Pathfinder's backstory, whose appearance is matched to that of the Newcastle leaks through his skin tone and bushy beard.

So, it appears that the Apex Legends Season 13 character will be Newcastle, who will now come in to reclaim a returning Skull Town and a potential new map.
