GTA Online has barely slowed down since its launch, and that's probably because Rockstar knows it's where the money lies.

So far, Rockstar haven't really had much need to move on from the exports of GTA V, and even though Red Dead Redemption II was a success of incredible proportions, the dropoff of Red Dead Online has proven that despite the impressiveness of the game, players just want to get into cars with their mates and fart around as Glamorous by Fergie blasts from the stereo.

And now, a massive new update is touching down in the game to prove that the game is just as vibrant in 2022 as it was at launch.

Rockstar Reveals The Criminal Enterprises Update

The next major expansion for GTA Online has been unveiled by Rockstar Games in a new blog post on their site, and it promises to bring a whole host of new missions to the game so that players can maintain their criminal fronts nicely.

The Criminal Enterprises update is giving players with a Nightclub, Executive Office, or Custom Bike Shop a few extra types of mission to complete according to their properties, as well as giving players better payouts for heists, races and adversary modes.

This is happening as the IAA expect criminal activity as the gas prices in Los Santos soar (which hits a bit close to home right now, to be honest) and new characters join the game to help you take advantage of the chaos of the city.

When Is The Criminal Enterprises Update Coming Out?

Luckily, we haven't actually got that long to wait before our very own criminal works get a big boost - in fact, we won't even be waiting a week.

The new update is launching in-game on July 26, which is only this coming Tuesday. If you've been waiting for a chance to get back to Los Santos, this is it.

It's exciting to see GTA Online still get a lot of love, as it has become so diverse that realistically, you don't ever need another game to play if you get into it - but man, it's got to suck to be a Red Dead Online fan right now. Sorry, pardner.
