100 Thieves are set to rejoin the Call of Duty Esports scene as they have been reported to have acquired the OpTic Gaming CDL spot for the 2021 season.

In the ongoing saga following Hector "H3CZ" Rodriguez requiring the branding rights for OpTic Gaming, the spot that was owned by OpTic Gaming Los Angeles has reportedly been divested to 100 Thieves, as reported by Dexerto.

The team, which will likely be named LA Thieves, have been rumoured to be purchasing the CDL spot ever since H3CZ reacquired the Green Wall from Immortals Gaming Club earlier this month. With his brother-like relationship with 100 Thieves Owner Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag proving to be a solid foundation for a bargain to be struck between both parties, it appears that the organisation has officially re-joined the scene.

As for H3CZ and the Chicago Huntsmen, it is unclear what will be happening, as the Call of Duty League recently blocked his proposal to rebrand the side to Chicago OpTic Gaming

The move should also reunite Nadeshot with Austin "SlasheR" Liddicoat, who was a part of the original 100 Thieves roster which won two major championships and grabbed a silver medal at the final Call of Duty World League finals.

Kenny "Kuavo" Williams was also a member of the 100 Thieves roster that departed the scene, and will likely rejoin the organisation alongside SlasheR and his two OGLA teammates Thomas "TJHaly" and Zack "Drazah" Jordan

Nadeshot had previously rubbished reports that the LA Thieves would come to fruition, as the financial implications outweighed his personal desires. However, former OpTic Gaming and Call of Duty esports pioneer looks all but set to reignite his love affair with COD, and hunt for his first-ever World Championship, albeit as an owner now.
