Hector "H3CZ" Rodriguez has reacquired OpTic Gaming, in a deal outside of NRG, of whom he is currently a Co-Owner.

HECZ built OpTic Gaming from the ground up before selling the organisation to Immortals Gaming Club last year. He has now purchased the organisation back. According to The Esports Observer, negotiations have been ongoing for over a month, and have now concluded, with the original founder now having full control of the company.

The acquisition of the organisation takes HECZ back to the home that he built brick by brick before Immortals had taken over and he became Co-CEO of NRG. Beginning in 2006 with a series of Call of Duty trickshotting on YouTube, the OpTic Clan began to have a devoted following named the "Green Wall" and went on to be the most successful organisation within Call of Duty esports, winning a world championship ring in 2017.

With Hector, Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag, Seth "Scump" Abner, and many more household names, OpTic Gaming transformed console esports and were a huge factor in the transcendence of Call of Duty to the position it is today. Regarded by many as the father of Call of Duty, HECZ and OpTic were influential to millions of fans worldwide. OpTic Gaming also branched out to many more titles such as CounterStrike: Global Offensive and League of Legends.

The future for OpTic Gaming, NRG, and HECZ himself is now unsure. With the purchase of OG, Hector now has two teams within the Call of Duty League, with the other being Chicago Huntsmen. The Esports Insider also reported that he now looks to divest the CDL spot to other interested organisations to continue with the Huntsmen for the 2020/21 season, at least. The divesting of OpTic Gaming Los Angeles' spot in the CDL still needs league approval.

Waiting eagerly in the wings must be Nadeshot, as should a spot open up in the Call of Duty League, he will surely have first dibs, due to his brotherly-like relationship with HECZ. Could this see a spot for 100 Thieves to return to Call of Duty, and have the household names that were once the face of the game all involved within the scene?

Either way. The future for HECZ must surely lie at OpTic Gaming, meaning it might not be too much longer until the Green Wall will be watching Scump and Formal slay their way to another World Championship.
