Pokemon Scarlet And Violet Charcadet: How To Catch
The first thing you need to do is catch Charcadet, so if you already have, feel free to skip to the next section. For anyone who has not yet, here is what you need to know. Charcadet is a bit of an oddity, it is a somewhat rare Pokemon that can be found in almost every part of Paldea. They appear in very specific areas, by themselves, and consistently so. If you find a Charcadet in the wild, you can be sure another one will be there if you come back later.
If you spend any significant amount of time exploring the region, you are very likely to stumble across a wild Charcadet in one of its locations. Seek out any nooks and crannies in the terrain, as these places are likely candidates for finding them. For a specific example, get yourself to Cortondo in South Province (Area Two). From the Pokemon Centre at the western end of the town, take the road up the hill. At the first hairpin turn, you will see an entrance in the rock in the corner. Go through there into a small clearing, and you will find a Charcadet. It is level 16, so it shouldn't cause many players too much trouble.

Pokemon Scarlet And Violet Charcadet: How To Evolve
To evolve Charcadet, you need a specific item. Charcadet evolves into two different Pokemon, using two different items. Which item you can get is determined by which version you are playing, Scarlet or Violet. In Scarlet, you can get the Auspicious Armour and evolve Charcadet into Armarouge. In Violet, you get the Malicious Armour and can evolve Charcadet into Ceruledge.
In both games, you have to do mostly the same thing to get the armour items. First, you need to head to Zapapico, a small town tucked away in the western corner of East Province (Area Three). In the centre of town, just north of the battle area, there is a lady standing next to a small fountain. If you approach her, you will see a yellow speech bubble saying "Fancy a trade?".
Speak to the lady, and she will tell you how she is a collector of curiosities. She has an unusual item that she will trade to you for ten of a certain item. In Violet, she will give you the Malicious Armour for ten Sinistea Chips. In Scarlet, she gives the Auspicious Armour for ten Bronzor Fragments. These items are acquired from battling those particular Pokemon.
Finding Sinistea and Bronzor isn't too difficult. Sinistea can be found around Zapapico, just search the areas around the town at night. Defeat or catch enough of them to gather ten Sinistea Chips. For Bronzor, you can often find them around ruins, such as the ruins on the south side of the river west of Levincia. Same as with Sinistea, catch or defeat as many Bronzor as you need to to get your ten Bronzor Fragments.
Once you have what you need, go to the lady in Zapapico and trade her for the armour. Once you have it, use it in your Bag with a Charcadet in your party to evolve it into either Armarouge or Ceruledge.
