The Pokemon GO Silent Schemes research tasks mean Team GO Rocket are back to their typical shenanigans, and players can earn some rewards by defeating them. By progressing through this Pokemon GO questline and earning the Super Rocket Radar, players can track down Giovanni to (hopefully) catch his Shadow Latias. Here are all the steps to the Pokemon GO Silent Schemes Special Research and their rewards!

Note: to activate this Special Research questline, you will need to finish any other GO Rocket Special Research you have.

Pokemon GO Silent Schemes: Step 1/6

  • Win a Raid - Breloom encounter
  • Defeat 3 Team GO Rocket Grunts - 3x Hyper Potion
  • Catch 1 Shadow Pokemon - 1x Revive

Rewards: 1,000 XP, 15 Poke Balls, three Rare Candies

Pokemon GO Silent Schemes: Step 2/6

  • Catch 5 Shadow Pokemon - 10x Pinap Berry
  • Make 3 Nice Curveball throws in a row - 10x Razz Berry
  • Defeat 5 Team GO Rocket Grunts - 10x Nanab Berry

Rewards: 1,500 XP, 1,000 Stardust, and 10 Great Balls

Pokemon GO Silent Schemes: Step 3/6

  • Purify 5 Shadow Pokemon - 1,000 XP
  • Defeat 5 Team GO Rocket Grunts - 1,000 XP
  • Earn 3 candies walking with your buddy - 1,000 XP

Rewards: 2,000 XP, 15 Great Balls, and a Rocket Radar

Pokemon GO Silent Schemes: Step 4/6

  • Defeat Team GO Rocket Leader Arlo - 1,500 XP
  • Defeat Team GO Rocket Leader Cliff - 1,500 XP
  • Defeat Team GO Rocket Leader Sierra - 1,500 XP

Rewards: 2,500 XP, 1,000 Stardust, and a Super Rocket Radar

Pokemon GO Silent Schemes: Step 5/6

  • Find the Team GO Rocket Boss - 5x Max Potion
  • Battle the Team GO Rocket Boss - 20x Ultra Ball
  • Defeat the Team GO Rocket Boss - 5x Max Revive

Rewards: 3,000 XP, a Lucky Egg, and two Razz Berries

Pokemon GO Silent Schemes: Step 6/6

  • Claim Reward! - 2,500 XP
  • Claim Reward! - 2,500 XP
  • Claim Reward! - 2,500 XP

Rewards: an Elite Fast TM, an Elite Charged TM and two Silver Pinap Berries
