Pokemon GO An Akala Adventure: Special Research Tasks And Rewards
The second island in Alola, Akala, has made its way into the mobile gaming world as part of the Pokemon GO Akala Adventure Special Research. This Special Research questline in Pokemon GO features encounters with familiar Akala faces to anyone who has played Sun & Moon or their sequels, including Fomantis, Alolan Diglett, and Alolan Marowak. Here are all the steps for the Pokemon GO Akala Adventure Special Research and their rewards!

Pokemon GO An Akala Adventure Step 1/4
- Catch 10 Pokemon - 10x Poke Ball
- Complete 3 Field Research tasks - Pikachu encounter
- Catch 7 different species of Pokemon - 5x Pinap Berry
Rewards: Fomantis encounter, 500 XP, and 500 Stardust

- Use 4 Berries to help catch Pokemon - Parasect encounter
- Catch 2 Water-type Pokemon - Alomomola encounter
- Take 3 snapshots of Fire-type Pokemon - Alolan Marowak encounter
Rewards: 1 Charged TM, 500 XP, and 500 Stardust

- Power up Pokemon 5 times - 7x Razz Berry
- Walk 2 km - 10x Poke Ball
- Take 3 snapshots of wild Pokemon - 10x Nanab Berry
Rewards: 1 Premium Battle Pass, 1,000 XP, and 1,000 Stardust

- Send 5 Gifts to friends - 10x Great Ball
- Catch 15 Pokemon - 7x Pinap Berry
- Win a Raid - Alolan Diglett encounter
Rewards: 15 Ultra Balls, 8,000 XP, and 3,000 Stardust

Pokemon GO Season Of Alola End Of Season Special Research
Click to enlargeAt the end of the Season of Alola, a Special Research questline will be available to anyone who completed the four islands' questlines, including both Pokemon GO A Melemele Adventure and Pokemon GO An Akala Adventure that have been released. The special questline is obtainable starting on May 25, but the cutoff date for completion of the first four is June 1.
Anyone who doesn't complete the four questlines in time can buy a ticket in-game instead. It'll cost $4.99 or the equivalent in your local currency.
The next two sets of Special Research, which will probably feature Ula'ula Island and Poni Island, are set to release on April 12 and May 10, respectively.
All these sets of Special Research are permanently available once you activate them, meaning you don't have to complete them by a certain time unless you want the end-of-season research. However, they can only be activated during the Season of Alola and not afterwards.
