The Pokemon GO April Community Day will feature a brand new Pokemon: Stufful! As usual, there will be some bonuses, Special Research for purchase, an exclusive move, and more. Read on for all the important details of the Pokemon GO April Stufful Community Day!

Stufful's Community Day is part of the Season of Alola, which also brings new Special Research to the game. Check out our guide to the Pokemon GO Akala Adventure Special Research and celebrate the island Stufful calls home.

The Stufful Pokemon GO Community Day will take place on April 23, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time. That's right — Community Days are back to only three hours. Niantic has drawn some ire for this change, but the developer insists it is doing so because of player demand.

The extra time window to evolve for the special move is still in effect, though. You'll have until 7 p.m. local time to evolve Stufful for a Bewear with a special move.

Next, let's look at what that special move will be. Any Bewear evolved from Stufful between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on April 23, 2022, will learn the charge attack Drain Punch.

In gym battles and Raids, Drain Punch has 50 power.

In Trainer battles, Drain Punch has 20 power and will raise the user's Defense by one stage.

Unfortunately, Stufful will require 400 candies to evolve, so it will be quite the effort needed to collect enough in the short event window.

Luckily, there are quite a few bonuses in effect, some of which should help you evolve Stufful.

  • Stufful will appear in significant numbers, and its shiny form will be available
  • 3x catch XP
  • 2x catch candy
  • Double chance of Stufful XL candy when catching Stufful
  • Incense and Lures activated during the event will last three hours
  • 5x photobomb snapshots
  • One extra special trade can be made during the event or up to two hours afterward
  • Trades during and up to two hours after the event will cost 50% less Stardust
  • If Trainers catch enough Pokemon from the same Lure, the triple catch XP will increase to 4x XP for catching Pokemon at that Lure for 30 minutes
  • Event-themed stickers will be available from gifts, the in-game shop, and PokeStops
  • A free box in the shop will contain 30 Ultra Balls. It can only be obtained once
  • Another box in the shop will cost 850 PokeCoins and contain 15 Ultra Balls, 15 Pinap Berries, an Elite Fast TM, and a Remote Raid Pass

Pokemon GO April Community Day: Special Research

There will be a Special Research questline available to anyone who purchases a ticket, which will cost USD $1 or the equivalent in your local currency. It'll go on sale a few days before Stufful Community Day. This time around, the questline is titled "the Strong Stuff."
