Since being officially unveiled at the Microsoft Games Showcase in June 2023, details on the Persona 3 Reload release date, platforms, trailers, and even gameplay have been on the minds of hungry fans eager for the P3 remake.
Following a variety of Persona 5 entries and spin-offs, along with re-releases of Persona 4, both Persona 3 fans old and new will get to see the ATLUS classic with revamped visuals and modern gameplay fitting that which the current generation has come to know.

When is the Persona 3 Reload release date?
Click to enlargeThe Persona 3 Reload release date is Friday, February 2, 2024. ATLUS was sure to remain as tight-lipped as they could be on the Persona 3 remake's release date, even after its announcement, but Reload's day of launch was finally revealed during Gamescom 2023 in the trailers below.

What is Persona 3 Reload?
Click to enlargePersona 3 Reload is a remake of the original Persona 3 game. It was originally released in Japan for the PlayStation 2 in 2006 and was quickly followed up with a North American release in 2007.
While players have subsequently been introduced to new iterations of Persona 3, including Persona 3 FES and P3 Portable, Persona 3 Reload is solely a remake of the original title, meaning some elements, such as the choice of a female protagonist, won't be present.
Fans of the Persona series will already be familiar with the style of gameplay that this title helped pioneer, including time management with your duties in the day, and turn-based combat that is influenced by those day-to-day social interactions.

Meet the S.E.E.S. trailer
Although not loads had been seen in terms of Persona 3 Reload trailers since its Xbox Games Showcase announcement, new trailers unveiled during Gamescom 2023 both reintroduce us to the game's cast and story - as shown above - along with a BGM and gameplay trailer.
Battle BGM & gameplay reveal trailer
Whilst the Meet the S.E.E.S. trailer reaquaints us with Persona 3 Reload's story and characters, the Battle BGM & gameplay reveal trailer is everything the name implies.
Along with showcasing more of the P3 remake's updated gameplay that's more in line with Persona 5's when battling Shadows, this latest peek into Persona 3 Reload also shows off a brand new BGM track that makes the game feel even more revamped.

Persona 3 Reload gameplay details

Like the majority of games in the Persona series, Persona 3 Reload looks set to continue the divide between social simulator as you go about your day as a student, and turn-based JRPG combat at night as you fight various shadows in Tartarus.
While these two segments may feel somewhat separate, your social interactions during the day will often have an impact on your stats and relationships in the combat and dungeon-exploring elements of Persona 3 Reload.

Persona 3 Reload platforms: What systems will the remake be on?
Click to enlargeThe Persona 3 Reload platforms on which the remake is coming are Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and PS4 - with Xbox players also getting to play via Game Pass from launch. Although the game's initial announcement veered more towards Xbox platforms, it was later revealed Persona 3 Reload will be on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC as well.
However, there won't be a Persona 3 Reload Nintendo Switch port; at least for now.
