A brand-new Warlord, Keres, is terrorising Urzikstan in the Season 2 Reloaded Mid-Season Update for MW3's Zombies Mode. This particular Warlord specialises in chemical warfare, so prepare to be bombarded with an arsenal of biological weaponry, like Poison Gas Grenades.

This primer details where to find Keres in the game's Zombies Mode and tips and tricks for defeating this toxic Warlord.

Where to find Keres

You'll find the Warlord, Keres, battened down inside the Killhouse at Orlov Military Base. The Orlov Military Base is situated in the northeast corner of Urzikstan, shown on the map below:

Keres' Killhouse, like the bases the Warlords before her resided in, is impenetrable without the proper Fortress Keycard. As of the Season 2 Reloaded Mid-Season Update, you can procure the Fortress Keycard – Keres from the Safe inside a Mercenary Stronghold.

With the Keres Fortress Key in your possession, make your way to the Orlov Military Base and begin your raid on the Killhouse!

How to defeat Keres

While a Three-Plate Armour Vest and Pack-a-Punched Weapons will certainly help, defeating this Warlord is near impossible without at least a few Gas Masks

This is because, as you'd expect, Keres' hideout is safeguarded by Mercenaries, Sentry Turrets, and various traps. However, as a chemical warfare specialist, Keres utilises Poison Gas Grenades that'll inflict serious damage if you don't come stocked with Gas Masks - but the Mercenaries at the Terminus Outcomes Fortress regularly drop them.

Keres' gas is uniquely potent, as it not only deals damage, it disables Thermal Optics and equipment like Heartbeat Sensors. This gas permeates throughout the Killhouse, too, making it extremely difficult to see anything not right in front of your face.

Your best bet is to stick to the catwalks above the ground floor. You can discern what's happening easier from this elevated position rather than running around like a headless chicken amid the poisonous clouds of gas. On top of that, Keres' ballistic weapons deal substantial damage at point-blank, so you're better off keeping your distance, anyway.

Pick at Keres and her Mercenaries from above, and whenever you manage to take her down, the gas will dissipate, and you can claim your Reward Rift.

What do you get for defeating Keres?

Defeating Keres will spawn a Reward Rift containing a Wonder Weapon Case, the Callous Blueprint for the MCW, and other goodies like Raw Aetherium Crystals and Epic Aether Tools.

The Callous Blueprint offers a sleek black design with red and white accents, and the attachments further minimise the straight-shooting MCW's recoil. And while Keres is no pushover, killing this Warlord is a relatively easy way to farm Wonder Weapon Cases.
