If you want to get Koins fast in Mortal Kombat 1, we are here to help. Mortal Kombat 1 has the kind of progression and currency systems we have come to expect from Netherrealm games, allowing you to purchase cosmetic items and boosts.

Koins come in various forms in the game, so we are going to go over them and how to get as many Koins as possible. Here is everything you need to know to get Koins fast in Mortal Kombat 1.

How to get Koins fast in Mortal Kombat 1

The fastest way to gain Koins in Mortal Kombat 1 is to play Invasions mode. This new single-player adventure mode is somewhat of a replacement for the Krypt in previous games. It is more of a game mode than the Krypt ever really was, but it is also your main source for the various Koins in the game, like regular Koins and the much more valuable Seasonal Kredits.

If you have not tried it, Invasions mode has you move across maps of locations from the game, going node to node. At each node, there will be a fight or another kind of challenge to complete. A lot of these are quick and easy, especially early on.

You will earn plenty of Koins and Seasonal Kredits by progressing through Invasions mode for a number of reasons. First, there are rewards for completing stages in Invasions mode. Second, Invasions mode is the fastest way to rank up, which also provides currency. Third, and probably the most important, you can complete challenges while you play Invasions.

Check your challenges menu to see which challenges are currently active, by pressing the trackpad on PS5, the View button on Xbox, or - on Nintendo. Here you can see the currently active challenges, each of which rewards you with Koins.

Challenges often require you to perform a certain move a number of times or win matches with brutalities, things like that. Keep those challenges in mind as you play through Invasions, and before long your pockets will be overflowing with Koins.

How to use Koins in Mortal Kombat 1

The primary function of Koins is to spend 1,000 of them at a time in the Shrine to unlock a collectable item. These collectable items include concept art, music, and more.

There are multiple currencies in Mortal Kombat 1, Koins being the basic currency in the game. The other currencies include Seasonal Kredits, Krowns, and Dragon Krystals. Dragon Krystals are the premium currency which you can use to buy cosmetics, and Krowns are an Invasions mode-specific currency for buying items for that mode.

Seasonal Kredits are the Koins you really want, as this currency is also acquired through challenges and playing Invasions, but you can use Seasonal Kredits to purchase cosmetic items from the seasonal store. These include skins and gear items for fighters and Kameo Fighters, and can drastically change up your look.
