Whether Mortal Kombat 1 will feature multiplayer support is something that die-hard fans will surely want to know - so here’s a rundown of co-op play capabilities for the upcoming entry.

Mortal Kombat, especially the more recent entries, have become much more well-known for their intricate stories and tower modes.

The game itself is a soft reboot of the series - although it’s not quite that simple - which could mean that the game modes coming this time could be changed up as well.

As time has gone on, more and more games have begun to leave behind local co-op modes, so here is everything we know so far about whether or not Mortal Kombat 1 will have multiplayer or co-op play.

According to the PlayStation Store page, multiplayer will once again be included in Mortal Kombat 1.

However, at this stage, we are still unsure on what kinds of game modes we can expect to arrive in the game.

It won’t be a proper Mortal Kombat game if you can’t take it online to try and prove yourself against other players.

As we near release, we should get a much better idea of what game modes we can expect in the game - so we will update you here as we learn more.

Right now, it has not been confirmed whether or not Mortal Kombat 1 will support local co-op. That being said, if it doesn’t, it would likely be a very unpopular move.

No Mortal Kombat game has excluded co-op multiplayer since the inception of the series, and considering it started as an arcade machine to play with pals, it will probably never leave the series.

Once again though, we will know much more about what modes we can expect to appear in the game after it launches.

That’s all we know so far about multiplayer and co-op in Mortal Kombat 1. If you’re as excited as we are about the next instalment in the series then make sure you check out our Mortal Kombat 1 homepage, and for everything else, keep reading GGRecon.
