So check out how to kill a wolf and destroy a den in Farthest Frontier

You can kill a wolf by simply commanding a unit to attack it, but it's not always as straightforward as sending someone to deal with the threat. Wolves are no slackers when it comes to fighting, and in a one vs one fight against a standard villager, the wolf will usually win or at least fatally wound them before dying. This means you'll always want to send hunters, guards, or soldiers to fight wolves, as in most situations they can take on a single wolf without taking much damage.

A general rule for fighting wolves is to match them in numbers, as one of the units listed above will struggle massively against any more than one wolf. You can almost always spare at least two units for a fight, so it's worth doing so you don't lose a unit to injury.

The best tactic we've found for dealing with wolves is getting two hunters to use their long-range bows. Two volleys can kill a wolf, so you can easily wipe a few out before they even reach your hunters this way.

While killing a wolf will temporarily protect your citizens, you still will need to deal with the root of the problem and destroy the wolf's den. A den will consistently spawn in new wolves, so once you discover a wolf in an area, it's a good idea to send some hunters to search for the den.

Once you discover a den, using the hunter method we highlighted above, kill all the wolves around the den first. After it's clear, command them to attack the den with melee, and you'll quickly get rid of it, rendering the area much safer. You'll need to repeat this process a multitude of times over the course of your playthrough as new ones pop up, but with the above method, the surrounding areas of your town should be much safer.

That's all for our primer on how to kill a wolf and destroy a den in Farthest Frontier, and now your city will be much safer for it.

We also have a primer on how to make Gold in Farthest Frontier, which covers the three main methods, along with what Gold can be used for.
