To make the standard version of Polymer, you will need to use the Fabricator and combine Obsidian x2 and Cementing Paste x2. Obsidian can be gathered from black rocks in caves and on mountains, while Cementing Paste is made from Chitin or Keratin, and Stone.

Organic Polymer is a natural version of Polymer that you can find in the wild. It can be gathered by killing Kairuku, Hesperornis, Mantis, Karkinos, and harvesting Bee Hives, but the downside is that it can spoil unlike Polymer and has a lower stack total.

Finally, Corrupted Nodule is also a natural version that can be harvested from Corrupted Creatures in the Wasteland region of the Extinction map. It's also worth noting that if you tame an Argentavis, they can carry all Polymer types at 50% weight reduction.

That's all for our primer on how to get Polymer in ARK Survival Evolved, and now you know what the different types are and how to get them.

Here's our breakdown of how to make Kibble in ARK Survival Evolved, which lets you tame the various deadly creatures you will come across.
