Forza Motorsport split-screen co-op would be phenomenal. You can race against your friend or family member with some of the best cars in the world, digitally. Some prefer couch co-op or multiplayer over playing online as well.

Here's what we know about Forza Motorsport split-screen co-op.

  • Forza Motorsport has all manner of special editions to consider, including one that includes five days of early access

Unfortunately, Xbox has confirmed that Forza Motorsport split-screen co-op will not be included in the game

"Our heavy investment in pushing new graphical features and our complete overhaul of the rendering engine unfortunately made split-screen really difficult to implement," explained creative director Chris Esaki during a Forza Monthly video update (via IGN).

The feature won't be available at launch, but Forza Motorsport split-screen co-op may emerge in an update somewhere down the road. It's not confirmed, however. The spectator mode and racing with AI in multiplayer are also not available in the game at launch.

Thankfully, there are some racing games on Xbox and other platforms that feature split-screen co-op. Dirt 5 is a rugged off-road racer. It features stunning environments for a 2020 game and features races from 10 different locations around the world.

In Dirt 5you can go to Brazil, the frozen East River in New York, and see the Northern Lights in Norway. You'll also be able to visit locations in China and Greece, all in split-screen. The game's actually available on Xbox Game Pass if you're interested.

The F1 series of games also features split-screen co-op if you're looking for more of a simulation experience. The most recent game F1 23 actually has it. Our reviewer Joshua Boyles gave the game a 4/5 star review. It says the game's "still the best F1 racing experience you can get for your money" and that the "new car handling feels sublime."

That's everything you need to know about split-screen co-op in Forza Motorsport. For more Forza Motorsport guides, keep reading GGRecon.
