The fastest cars in each class in Forza Motorsport are generally the most desirable, and certainly the ones most likely to win races. Forza Motorsport features over 500 cars, making it difficult to choose the best.

Our tier lists of the fastest cars in the game in each class should help you choose the right set of wheels for you. Here are the fastest cars in each class in Forza Motorsport, organised into tier lists.

Forza Motorsport car classes explained

As mentioned, the tier lists below are divided based on the various car classes. In Forza Motorsport, the classes are:

  • E-class
  • D-class
  • C-class
  • B-class
  • A-class
  • S-class
  • R-class
  • P-class
  • X-class

Which class a car falls into depends on the car's PI rating, which stands for Performance Index. Every car has stats such as Speed, Handling, and Braking, and the overall rating of those stats determines a car's PI.

With tuning and upgrades, any car can have its Performance Index dramatically change, but we will be basing our list on the stock PI of each car.

E-class is the lowest class rating in Forza Motorsport, and as such contains many of the slower cars in the game. That said, there are plenty of classics in this category, from older muscle cars to classic hatchbacks, that have simply been outpaced with time.

Here are the fastest cars in Forza Motorsport E-class:

Cars Performance Index
1973 BMW 2002 Turbo 298
1977 Holden Torana A9X 298
1993 Renault Clio Williams 298
1968 Ford Mustang GT 2+2 Fastback 297
1989 Toyota MR2 SC 296
1954 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Coupé 291

The fastest E-class car in Forza Motorsport is the 1973 BMW 2002 Turbo. This classic rally car may not compare well to modern cars, but it was a winner in its time and has the good looks to go with it.

Forza Motorsport D-class tier list

Next, we move up to D-class, where we find many similar kinds of cars to the previous class, albeit with a step up in performance.

These are the fastest cars in Forza Motorsport D-class:

Cars Performance Index
1990 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II 400
2000 Nissan Silvia Spec-R 399
1994 Nissan Fairlady Z Version S Twin Turbo 398
1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee 398
1984 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 398
1992 Ford Falcon GT 396

The fastest car you'll find in the D-class is the Mercedes-Benz 190E. The Baby Benz is not your typical Merc, it isn't quite as imposing, but it is certainly quick.

Forza Motorsport C-class tier list

C-class cars tend to be more modern cars with a bit more power - not necessarily the most exciting cars in the world, but no slouches for sure.

The fastest C-class cars in Forza Motorsport are:

Cars Performance Index
1990 Vauxhall Lotus Carlton 499
2002 Chevrolet Camaro 35th Anniversary Super Sport 499
2019 Hyundai Veloster N Forza Edition 497
1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR 496
2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR 496
2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR 496

The fastest car in C-class is an unusual one, as it happens to be a Vauxhall. The Vauxhall Lotus Carlton is a Vauxhall Carlton that Lotus took and beefed up with a much more powerful engine. Otherwise, it still looks like a saloon from the 90s, making this a bit of a sleeper hit.

Forza Motorsport B-class tier list

The B-tier is where we get into the upper limits of the traditional consumer cars and start entering supercar territory. That said, the class does contain a wide variety of cars to choose from.

These are the fastest cars in Forza Motorsport's B-class:

Cars Performance Index
2023 Lotus Emira 600
2019 Subaru STI S209 Forza Edition 600
2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 599
1939 Auto Union Type D 598
1961 Maserati Tipo 61 Birdcage 595
2013 Audi RS 4 Avant 591

Sticking with Lotus, the fastest B-class car is the 2023 Lotus Emira. Lotus is a brand that has been quiet for a long time, and with the Emira, it's looking to reclaim its throne as the greatest maker of small, beautiful, and fast supercars.

Forza Motorsport A-class tier list

We are in full-on sports car land now, as the A-class features some serious speed. Expect to find a mixture of mid-tier modern supercars and legends from the 80s and 90s.

Here are the fastest A-class cars in Forza Motorsport:

Cars Performance Index
1993 Jaguar XJ220 700
2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe Forza Edition 700

While there are several more modern options in A-class, they are pipped to the post by the class 1993 Janguar XJ220. This powerhouse from yesteryear has hardly lost a step and remains one of the best cars from its time.

Forza Motorsport S-class tier list

We are approaching the higher echelons of speed machines as we move into the S-class. These cars are by no means your typical daily driver, so expect some exotic offerings here.

The fastest S-class cars in Forza Motorsport are:

Cars Performance Index
1981 Ford Zakspeed Racing Capri Turbo 799
1969 Sunoco T70 MkIIIB 798
1998 Nissan R390 (GT1) 796
2013 Ariel Atom 500 V8 794

The quickest offering in the S-class is a classic race car, the 1981 Ford Zakspeed Racing Capri Turbo. This is one of the most dramatic-looking cars in the game, and certainly has the horsepower to back it up.

Forza Motorsport R-class tier list

R-class is where we go beyond the realm of desirable supercars and enter the world of design for performance. While you will find some more traditional vehicles here, for the most part, these machines are built for the singular purpose of going fast.

The fastest cars in the R-class of Forza Motorsport are:

Cars Performance Index
2015 Radical RXC Turbo 891
2021 Rimac Nevera 886
2017 Aston Martin Vulcan AMR Pro 885
2021 Porsche Mission R 879
1976 Team Lotus 77 877
1989 Ferrari F40 Competizione 874

In the R-class, the top-tier machine is the Radical RXC Turbo. This is not a car you are doing the shopping in - this is a car you bring to a race track and set records in.

Forza Motorsport P-class tier list

P-class cars can hardly even be considered cars, these are concepts designed purely to test the boundaries of how much power four wheels can put on a track.

These are the fastest P-class cars in Forza Motorsport:

Cars Performance Index
2014 Toyota Racing TS040 Hybrid 981
1992 All American Racers Toyota Eagle 981
2014 Audi Team Joest R18 e-tron quattro 979
2015 Nissan GT-R LM Nismo 978
1991 Nissan R91CP 976
1993 Peogeot Talbot Sport 905 EVO 1C 973

Any car built for the 24 hours of Le Mans is going to be impressive, which is why it is little surprise that the P-class of Forza Motorsport is topped by the Toyota Racing TS040 Hybrid. This is a racing machine through and through, and is capable of ungodly speeds.

Forza Motorsport X-class tier list

Finally, we come to the X-class. This is barely even a class at this point, so much as it is the limit of how fast a car can go in Forza Motorsport. As you will see below, there aren't many options to choose from, as all three natively X-class cars in the game are in the tier list.

The X-class cars of Forza Motorsport are:

Cars Performance Index
1988 Honda McLaren MP4/4 999
1990 Scuderia Ferrari 641 999
2017 Porsche Team 919 Hybrid 999

The Honda McLaren MP4/4, the fastest x-class car in Forza Motorsport

The fastest car in the fastest class couldn't really be anything other than a Formula 1 car, could it? While all three cars in Forza Motorsport's X-class are quite evenly matched, it is hard not to give the top spot to the car that Ayrton Senna won his first world championship with.

For that reason, the top-tier car in the X-class has to be the Honda McLaren MP4/4. A car that wins 15 out of 16 races in an F1 season is something special.

That is it for our rundown of the fastest cars in Forza Motorsport. For more, head to our Forza Motorsport homepage for guides like all Forza Motorsport achievements and the Forza Motorsport PC & Xbox download size.
