Three of this year's Winterfest quests involve Fortnite Icy Feet. The Icy Feet effect turns Fortnite players' feet into ice blocks, resulting in impaired control, but greater speeds and momentum. This guide will teach you how to get Fortnite Icy Feet and the best methods to complete the Fortnite Winterfest 2021 Icy Feet quests.

Despite the chilly weather and the snow dispersed across the Fortnite island, getting Icy Feet isn't as simple as standing out in the cold. If you want to get Icy Feet for the Winterfest 2021 quests, you'll need to acquire the effect via the following methods:

  1. One way to get Icy Feet is to apply it to yourself via Chiller Grenades. Chiller Grenades are a special winter-themed throwable item that can be used on friendly and enemy players.

  2. Sneaky Snowman can also induce the Icy Feet effect on Fortnite players. When destroyed, the Sneaky Snowman will apply the Icy Feet effect on any player hiding inside it.

  3. Lastly, any player that hits a snowman with a pickaxe will be inflicted with Icy Feet. This includes Sneaky Snowmen tossed on the ground or regular snowmen located around the island as decorations.

The easiest way to complete this Icy Feet challenge is to visit the pack of four snowmen sitting on the basketball court in the south-east corner of Greasy Grove. Hit a snowman with your pickaxe to gain the Icy Feet effect. With ice on your feet, slide around for as long as possible. Once your Icy Feet disappear, run back to the group of snowmen and smack another one to generate a new set of ice blocks. Repeat these steps until you have travelled 200 metres while having Icy Feet.

Alternatively, you can find a Chiller Grenade and use it on yourself to gain the Icy Feet effect. Save your Chiller Grenades for when you're near a steep hill to ensure you travel as great a distance as possible. Both methods are effective, though finding a Chiller Grenade will come down to luck whereas the Greasy Grove snowmen will appear in the same spot every match.

Fortnite Icy Feet: Light A Campfire While Having Icy Feet (1)

For this Fortnite Winterfest 2021 quest, you'll need to light a campfire while also under the effect of Icy Feet. We recommend first searching chests and floor loot until you come across either some Chiller Grenades or Sneaky Snowmen. Chiller Grenades come in Common rarity and Sneaky Snowmen Rare, so neither item should be too difficult to come by.

Once you have Chiller Grenades or Sneaky Snowmen, visit one of the dozens of campfires scattered around the island. The map above depicts every campfire location on the Fortnite Chapter 3 - Season 1 island. Once at a campfire, use your Chiller Grenades or Sneaky Snowmen to grant yourself Icy Feet. Finally, light the campfire while the ice blocks are still on your feet to complete the quest.

The third Icy Feet challenge — and the final quest of Winterfest 2021 — tasks Fortnite players with giving an enemy Icy Feet with a Chiller Grenade.

This one's pretty simple — find a Chiller Grenade and nail an opponent with a well-placed throw. Chiller Grenades come in stacks, so if you miss, just toss another one. If you land the Chiller Grenade close enough it will inflict the enemy with Icy Feet, thus completing the quest.

You now have everything you need to check off all three of the Fortnite Icy Feet quests. Complete all of the limited-time Winterfest 2021 quests to unlock exclusive Fortnite rewards.
