Fortnite Cozy Lodge is a lovely and festive addition to this year's holiday event. Giving players the chance to cosy up in the lodge and open daily presents is lovely, and really makes the game feel like it's ready for the big day. But, there's a bonus feature in this Fortnite lodge that isn't just opening presents, and it's something that a lot of players are going to find incredibly useful. Fortnite Cozy Lodge: What Is The Yule Log?

The Yule Log is the name given to the fireplace in Fortnite's Cozy Lodge. You can see it in the background as you unwrap your presents - but it isn't just for decoration.

You can sit down by the fire and passively generate small bursts of XP if you have the patience for it, and it'll help you earn much more if you're sitting down to complete the Yule Log challenge.

Fortnite Cozy Lodge: How To Warm Up At The Yule Log

To warm up at the Yule Log, you first have to go to Cozy Lodge, the new menu option when you open the game. Once there, you'll see a burly Sgt Winter surrounded by presents for you to pick out - he's the one who looks like Santa, but is absolutely shredded.

To go to the fireplace, though, click on Sgt Winter, then click on the fireplace from there. Once you've done that, the camera will pan to the fireplace to look like one of those lovely fireplace YouTube videos, and it'll generate you some XP in the process. It doesn't give you any chestnuts to roast over it, but we'll take what we can get.
