Aliens have invaded the Fortnite world and changed our lives as we know them. But one thing remains the same: challenges. Completing challenges is the best and most efficient way of earning XP in Fortnite. Players will need this XP to acquire Battle Stars, the currency used to unlock items in Chapter 2 - Season 7’s Battle Pass. Ignoring challenges will make it near impossible to unlock Season 7’s signature skins like Rick Sanchez and Superman.

Now that we’ve harped on the importance of completing challenges, let’s get into the details. Each Week 7 challenge grants a substantial 30,000 XP. Completing all Week 7 challenges will grant players an enormous 375,000 XP.  As you can see, these challenges are not something you want to miss out on.

Week 7 has players hunting down Riot and chasing the need for speed in Whiplashes. When it comes to Legendary Quests, Alien Eggs are in incubation all across the island, and Bushranger needs our help to care for and raise these space babies. For our efforts, we will be awarded loads of XP and Battle Stars.

Epic Quests

Use the Recon Scanner to spot an enemy player (1) - 30,000 XP

The Recon Scanner is an IO Tech weapon introduced this season. The Recon Scanner does not deal damage, but it can be fired to reveal any enemies in the projectile's vicinity.

Players will find Recon Scanners inside of IO Chests and as loot from IO Guards. Head to an IO Base and get yourself a Recon Scanner. From there, use your new weapon to reveal any enemy player you come across. Reveal one player with the Recon Scanner to complete Week 7’s first Epic Quest.

Visit Misty Meadows, Catty Corner, Camp Cod in a single match (3) - 30,000 XP

Begin your journey at Camp Cod. There should be an unattended Flying Saucer in the bushes on the north side of the location.

Now, use the Saucer to visit the other two locations. Fly to Catty Corner first and then Misty Meadows. Do your best to avoid any detours, and this strategy should make for an easy challenge.

Search ammo boxes (5) - 30,000 XP

This challenge is about as simple as it gets. Players need to search five Ammo Boxes anywhere on the island.

Head to Team Rumble and drop at a condensed location like Lazy Lake. Search the interior of all of the buildings for Ammo Boxes. Open up five total to complete this quest.

Defeat Riot (1) - 30,000 XP

Riot is a non-player character (NPC) boss located at the Yellow Steel Bridge. This is the bridge that connects Misty Meadows and Catty Corner.

Prior to challenging Riot, players will want to grab a gun. Land at Catty Corner or Misty Meadows and secure a weapon before heading over to the Yellow Steel Bridge. Approach Riot and unload whatever arsenal of weaponry you have at him. Be careful though, as Riot’s Heavy Assault Rifle can deal serious damage.

Defeat the mohawked biker to complete the challenge.

Reach top speed in a Whiplash (1) - 30,000 XP

This is a challenge we’ve seen in previous seasons. Players need to get in a Whiplash vehicle and reach top speed.

Whiplashes can be found all over the map. Lazy Lake and Misty Meadows are two spots that can spawn multiple Whiplashes in one match.

Once you're behind the wheel of a Whiplash, make your way to the main road. Put the pedal to the metal and don’t let off the gas. Use the vehicle’s boost when possible. The quest will complete once you hit 80 on the speedometer.

Drive a Whiplash through the Storm (1) - 30,000 XP

Don’t hop out of that Whiplash yet! Before you abandon your vehicle, take it for a drive through the Storm. Simply drive your Whiplash out into the purple Storm circle that surrounds the map. You’ll be credited for this challenge when you enter the Storm in a Whiplash.

Complete Whiplash Time Trials (1) - 30,000 XP

Whiplash Time Trials can be completed at Lazy Lake, Hydro 16, and/or Holly Hedges. As one would expect, players will need to possess a Whiplash to begin the Time Trial.

You’ll only need to complete one Time Trial, so we recommend the Lazy Lake one. Lazy Lake usually has Whiplashes sitting around, unlike the other two places.

Hop in a Whiplash and take it to the start of the Time Trial outside of the A Lot O’ Auto building.

Legendary Quests

Construct a wooden hatchery (1) – 45,000 XP

Week 7’s first Legendary Quest requires players to construct one wooden hatchery. This challenge works similarly to challenges from previous weeks that had us placing assortments of items.

There are three different locations where players can construct a wooden hatchery. However, you’ll really only need to visit one spot to complete the challenge. Wooden hatchery points are marked by a blue translucent hologram. These holograms can be interacted with to build a wooden hatchery.

The locations where players can place wooden hatcheries are pretty obscure, so we recommend referring to the video below for their exact spots.

Mark an Alien Egg (1) – 30,000 XP

Alien Eggs have begun to appear at various locations around the Fortnite island. These Alien Eggs appear green in colour and leak fluid every few seconds. You’ll know when you’re near an Alien Egg by the strange noises coming out of them.

Alien Eggs can be found in and around the Hydro 16 building west of Misty Meadows. Another set of Alien Eggs can be found in the Durrr Burger basement. Ping any Alien Egg to mark it and complete the challenge.

Collect records from Pleasant Park or Craggy Cliffs (2) – 30,000 XP

There are five sets of records to be collected inside both Pleasant Park and Craggy Cliffs for a total of ten records. Players must collect just two sets of records total to complete this Legendary Quest.

Records come in milk crates of various colours. To keep things simple for you, here’s a video showcasing all ten locations where players can collect records:

Stoke campfires near different hatcheries (2) – 30,000 XP

Remember this week’s first Legendary Quest? The one where we had to construct wooden hatcheries?

Well, now it’s time to go back to those exact locations and stoke a campfire. Outside of every shack that contains a wooden hatchery blueprint is a campfire. Players can light a campfire and then throw 30 Wood material on top of it to stoke it. Players will need to stoke two campfires total between the three locations.

Complete this quest in unison with Week 7’s first Legendary Quest to save yourself some time.

Collect parenting books from Holly Hatchery or Retail Row (2) – 30,000 XP

Another collection challenge, Week 7’s final Legendary Quest has players collecting parenting books from Holly Hatchery and Retail Row. Holly Hatchery has three sets of parenting books while Retail Row has four sets.

These books can be found in the assorted buildings around Holly Hatchery and Retail Row. You’ll only need to collect two sets of books, so focus on a single location for efficiency.

The video below runs through the exact locations of each set of parenting books:
