FIFA 23 TOTW 1: Son, De Bruyne, And Valverde
It's finally back around to that time of the year where every week of football action matters, with performances on the pitch correlating the FIFA 23 Team of the Week. With EA's next instalment of Ultimate Team launching through the Web App this week, a handful of players will be offered up with Team of the Week cards, the first specials of the season. FIFA 23 TOTW 1 Players
It's been quite a jagged start to life in professional football's 2022-23 season, given players had finally put their feet up for a bit in the pre-season, given that the calendars gone by had been riddled with stop-start pandemic precautions.
Now, with an international break looming, many of the world's stars have begun to heat up to book their seats on the plane to Qatar, while others on the brink of their call-ups have begun to find devastating form.
In the Premier League, William Saliba is just one of many players knocking on Dider Deschamp's door to inch their way into a dense French squad, as his impressive start to his Arsenal campaign is proving why the Gooners placed so much faith in him through multiple loan spells. Another colossal game saw Saliba score, and he'll be up for the first mention in the FIFA 23 TOTW 1.
Heung-Min Son scored a 13-minute hat-trick off the bench to secure his name in the TOTW, while De Bruyne's masterclass will likely have him leading the lineup ratings. Valverde has certainly turned up the heat in LaLiga also and more than deserves a place in this first FIFA 23 TOTW.
A double from Immobile sees an easy pick for up top, while Ledesma's goal-line heroics for Cadiz has him as the best candidate to be between the sticks.
