You may need the Exoprimal multiplayer game modes explained if you’re just jumping into the game. Exoprimal is the new co-op shooter from Capcom that needs teams of five members, working together, in an attempt to try and combat hordes of dinosaurs.

During your time with the game, there are both PvP and PvE game modes for you to enjoy.

Within this guide, we will go over how many different game modes there are in the game, as well as what the difference is between each of them.

Currently, there are only two game modes in the game although this will change over time, as the game’s roadmap is released. The two game modes in Exoprimal are Dino Survival and Training mode.

Dino Survival is the game’s narrative experience and sets players out to do missions. Although it is one game mode, the missions themselves will vary each time with a few different options available. The different missions you can get as part of Dino Survival are listed below:

  • Dinosaur Cull: Defeat hordes of specific dinosaurs.
  • Dino Pursuit: One dinosaur is your target to track down and kill as it moves around the map, other dinosaurs will spawn in too.
  • VTOL Defense: Defend a VTOL from dinosaur swarms.
  • Data Key Security: Escort mission, trying to wipe out dinosaurs and move the data quicker than the opposing team.
  • Omega Charge: Use the Omega Hammer to destroy the target and barriers to push forward, slaying dinosaurs to charge the hammer continually.
  • Energy Taker: Battle the enemy team to acquire energy dotted across the map.
  • Escort: Escort a group of defenceless NPCs and protect them from dinosaurs.
  • Neo T. Rex: This will see both teams team up to take on a mutated T. Rex that is incredibly powerful.
  • Vortexer Sabotage: Try to stop a vortexer in an area that is constantly bringing in waves of dinosaurs.
  • Area Defense: Stay, and protect, a designated area from incoming waves of dinosaurs.
  • Uplink Control: In this game mode you secure uplinks, clearing the combat area whilst you wait for all the data to be transferred.

Although there are few game modes in Exoprimal at launch, there is still the option to select PvP or PvE, as shown above. This will then mix up whether or not you will be competing against the computer or against real people.

Regardless of your chosen mode, you will always need a squad of pals to play with.

That is all there is to know about the game modes on offer in Exoprimal, but we will be sure to keep this updated as more game modes drop. For everything else Exoprimal, take a look at our homepage for the game here.
