The Elden Ring Haligtree Medallion is an important item for accessing a secret area much later in the game, but you need to collect both halves first, and they aren't easy to track down. Elden Ring doesn't offer up everything easily, making players work to unlock the secrets of the Lands Between. The Consecrated Snowfield is one such area, and accessing it will allow you to take on the hardest boss in the entire soulslike genre. So, take a look at where to find both halves of the Elden Ring Haligtree Medallion below.

  • Gathering the right half of the Haligtree Medallion is part of a smaller quest that gets you a special spirit summon. To unlock the Latenna spirit summon, check out Elden Ring Slumbering Shack.

The right half of the Haligtree Medallion can be found much earlier in the game than the left half, hence the many confused players. Head to the Village of the Albinaurics, under the large rock structure in the southwest of Liurnia. Entering the village you come up a hill, when you reach the village go left and further up the hill. You will encounter a hostile mage here so deal with him. Directly ahead in the back right corner of the area, you will see some pots. It is very dark here so a torch is advised. Smash the pots and you will find the last of the Albinaurics who still has his senses. He will give you the right half of the Haligtree Medallion, and ask that you bring it to Latenna.

This is your next mystery to solve, but returning to Roundtable Hold will get you a clue. Speak with Sir Gideon Ofnir and ask about the secret medallions. He will tell you to find an Albinauric woman, she is in a cave west of the Laskyar Ruins. The cave in question is the Lakeside Crystal Cave, a dungeon in the south of Liurnia. To find it easily, start from the Liurnia Lake Shore site of grace and follow the bottom of the cliff west until you find the entrance. Make your way through this dungeon and defeat the Bloodhound Knight at the end. After the boss, continue through the cave and you will find Latenna in a shack on a small cliff.

Speak with Latenna and show her your half of the Haligtree Medallion. She will tell you that the other half can be located in a castle in the Mountaintops of the Giants.

  • Getting the left half of the Haligtree Medallion and going to the Consecrated Snowfield is all part of completing Millicent's quest. To learn how to complete her quest, check out Elden Ring Millicent.

For this part of the quest, you will need to head to the great white north. You will first need to defeat Morgott, The Omen King to get the Rold Medallion. Use the medallion at the Grand Lift of Rold to get to the Mountaintops of the Giants. Continue north and you will find Castle Sol. The other half of the medallion is here, and you will need to go all the way through the castle in order to get it. Make your way up through the castle until you reach the boss, who you need to defeat.

Like with the Lakeside Crystal Cave, you need to continue on past where you fought the boss. Climb up the ladder to the top of the castle and you will find the left half of the Haligtree Medallion on the floor here. With both halves in your possession, you need to head back to the Grand Lift of Rold. Approach and you will get the Hoist Medallion prompt. Careful here, as doing so will just bring you to the Mountaintops again. Instead, you need to press left or right on the d-pad for the Hoist Secret Medallion prompt. Do so, and you will be brought to a new area.

The lift brings you to an underground area, so make your way onward and past a few enemies to get outside and reach the Consecrated Snowfield. There are plenty of places to explore here, items to discover, quests to complete, and bosses to defeat.

That is everything you need to do to get the Elden Ring Haligtree Medallion and get yourself to the Consecrated Snowfield. For more tips to get you there, check out Elden Ring Morgott Boss Fight: How To Beat Morgott, The Omen King.
