eFootball 2024 has finally been officially announced, and the new yearly edition in the series brings a bunch of new features, including exclusive teams, a new Messi edition, and plenty more.

Konami has been very supportive of the eFootball series since it rebranded from Pro Evolution Soccer (PES), supplying regular updates to the game to the joy of regular players. The new yearly edition certainly does not stop the train either, with typical yearly refreshes and new gameplay features that will only improve your footballing experience.

What are the new gameplay features in eFootball 2024?

There are a bunch of new gameplay features that are arriving with the eFootball 2024 update, giving you new ways to play and keeping things up to date with the ever-evolving footballing world.

Here are all of the new gameplay features in eFootball 2024 that you can enjoy:

  • Improved focus on dribbling and defending mechanics
  • Improved control response, letting you replicate split-second decisions and have tighter close-control
  • Enhanced dribbling, letting you function in congested areas

There are also updates to the squads, kits, and player appearances of partner clubs to keep up to date with the 2023/24 season.

Alongside the gameplay updates, there will be 'Boosters' now available in Dream Team, letting you enhance the attributes and skills of your team's players. You can also earn lots of in-game rewards like GP, eFootball Coins, EXP and more by taking part in the Startup Campaign right now.

Who are the exclusive partner clubs in eFootball 2024?

There has been continued exclusivity for the following four teams in eFootball 2024, meaning that this is the only place where their players, badge, and kit will be fully licenced:

  • AS Roma
  • Atalanta BC
  • SS Lazio
  • SSC Napoli

This is delightful for any Serie A fans out there, as these are many of the top teams in the league - including the most recent Scudetto winner Napoli.

eFootball 2024 Leo Messi Edition explained

Launching alongside the eFootball 2024 update is the Leo Messi Edition, meant to celebrate the career of what is likely the sport's greatest-ever player. While we don't know the full extent of what this edition will specifically include, we do know that there will be a 'Premium Ambassador Pack: Leo Messi' available for mobile and Steam users, which likely brings Messi-related rewards to your game.
