Diablo 4 server status: Are the servers online?

Click to enlargeThe Diablo 4 servers should currently be up, as the open beta is now begun. It's set to end on March 27 at 7 pm GMT (12 pm PDT/3pm EST/9 pm CEST), so you have a few days to play as long as the servers continue to work.
While things should go smoothly for the most part, the game's director, Rod Fergusson, took to Twitter to set some expectations for fans.
"Best to set some expectations early but any issues this weekend are better found now than at launch", Fergusson stated. "Please be patient with us as we expect a lot of players joining to help test our game infrastructure. Thank you for helping us make Diablo 4 the best it can be!"
On the Blizzard forums, the community manager Pez Rader also claimed that "there may be times when we will take the game offline temporarily to deploy infrastructure adjustments or fixes", along with "lengthy queue times".
While no one wants to wait to play a game, it can be necessary when launching big multiplayer games and when stress testing server infrastructure.
