Destiny 2 The Conflux is one of the shorter and more hectic sectors in the game. Destiny 2 Lost Sectors are areas dotted around the open-world areas of the game, that present a tough challenge for solo players. The Conflux is found on Nessus, in the Cistern region near the Well of Flame. Here is everything you need to know to complete Destiny 2 The Conflux on Master or Legend difficulty.

As with all Lost Sectors, we have to contend with the Locked Equipment, Match Game, and Extra Shields modifiers. This means there are more enemies with shields, those shields are incredibly tough to break without the right weapon, and you cannot change your loadout once you begin the encounter. Be sure to have everything you need equipped before heading inside.

The two Champion types are Barrier and Unstoppable, so you will need weapons that can stun them. Longer-range weapons can be good here for keeping you out of the fray, so scout rifles and pulse rifles are a good shout for this. The extra-damage burn effect is Solar, so focus on doing Solar damage. You will have Void shields to deal with, so you will need to balance your Solar damage with taking down those shields.

The modifier is Scorched Earth, meaning enemies will throw far more grenades than usual. All the more reason to keep your distance and stay on your toes.

The Conflux is easily the smallest Lost Sector in the Master/Legend rotation. It comprises a single room, but don’t think simplicity equals ease. The Conflux condenses everything you would normally find in a Legend Lost Sector into one room, one very scary room. It is not unlikely that you will find yourself fighting multiple champions at once.

The room is large, but there is still plenty of cover thanks to the many pillars around the room. There are also multiple levels of elevation, so you have plenty of options for getting yourself out of danger. That said, keeping your distance is a great option here, you don’t need to worry much about the timer considering you don’t have far to go.

We recommend a scout rifle and a pulse rifle to combat the champions, with one of them being either a Solar or Void weapon. There aren’t many shields to deal with, so a Solar weapon is more beneficial. For your heavy weapon, Gjallarhorn is the top pick. This incredibly powerful rocket launcher will do most of the work for you with the extra Solar damage. If you fancy getting more up-close and personal, you could bring the exotic sword The Lament in with you. It’s the player’s choice, but good ol’ Gally is hands down the best pick for the Lost Sector.

Stay at the safest distance you can, take enemies down with your primary weapons, then focus your heavy weapon fire on the Champions. The boss is a Colossus who does not immediately enter the room, you will have to take out a few waves of enemies and a couple of champions before the boss will appear. This is part of why you want to stay back, you do not want to get caught out when a bunch of enemies enter the arena at once. When the boss appears, this is a good chance to bust out your super. A Solar super is the obvious choice for maximum damage, so bust out your Dawnblade or Golden Gun and go to town.

That is everything you need to do to complete the Destiny 2 The Conflux Lost Sector on Master or Legend difficulty. For more on the game, check out our Destiny 2 Sever Reconciliation walkthrough.
