Wondering how to get your hands on a Destiny 2 Strange Key? The Destiny 2 event, which is currently celebrating 30 years of Bungie, has introduced a new event, weapons, gears, and currency. It is a superb celebration that will likely hit all the right nostalgic buttons for old-school Bungie fans. Yet the new exotic quest that comes with it requires that you pick up a Strange Key - and in typical Destiny fashion, it doesn't immediately tell you how to do that. That's why we're here, so let's get right into how you'll acquire a Destiny 2 Strange Key.

  • Want a step by step guide on how to complete the Destiny 2 Magnum Opus exotic quest? We've got you covered.

Destiny 2 Strange Key: Where To Find Strange Keys

If you are on the hunt for a Destiny 2 Strange Key, then look no further than the new social space, Eternity. This is the home dimension to Xur, who has been selling Guardians exotic weapons since the launch of the original Destiny. Opening up the directory you will find Eternity placed between The Tower and the Moon. You will then want to travel to Xur's Treasure Hoard.

Once spawned in, if you head towards the room filled with treasure, you will see multiple chests, a dimension space horse called Starhorse, and Xur. Xur will stand right by the entryway. Approaching Xur will reveal a Strange Key as a purchasable item, however you won't be able to acquire it immediately. The Destiny 2 Strange Key is part of the exotic quest, but you must unlock it before you can progress in the quest.

To unlock the Destiny 2 Strange Key, you must complete Dares Daily Bounties. These can be acquired from Xur directly under the Strange Key in the Xur menu. You must complete enough bounties to reach rank four. Once you have reached rank four the Destiny 2 Strange Key will be unlocked. It is best that you acquire bounties as soon as you launch your exotic quest, as you will have to take part in the Dares of Eternity event anyway to progress to the stage in which you need the Strange Key.

That's all you need to know to get your hands on the Destiny 2 Strange Key. Stick with GGRecon for more Destiny 2 news, reviews, and guides.
